What does a freight forwarder do

Freight forwarder, literally, is short for freight forwarder. Judging from the work content, it is to accept the entrustment of customers to complete a certain link or related link of cargo transportation. All the work involved in this aspect can be done directly or indirectly by finding a freight forwarder to save money.

Freight forwarders, as entrusted agents of customers, handle cargo transportation business. Under normal circumstances, the freight forwarder should book the freight forwarder's bill of lading warehouse with the carrier in the name of the customer, and the carrier will issue the bill of lading in its own name. The bill of lading indicates that the shipper of the freight forwarder is the shipper, and the freight forwarder will forward the bill of lading to the shipper as proof of the transportation contract between the customer and the carrier.

As an agent, freight forwarders are only responsible for the choice of carriers for customers, and are not responsible for the loss, damage or delay of goods in transit.
