Who is the leader of coordination chemistry in China at present?

Coordination chemistry is a frontier subject developed on the basis of inorganic chemistry. Its main research object is coordination compounds (complexes for short). The early coordination chemistry focused on the so-called "Werner complex" formed with metal cation receptor as the center (as acid) and ligands containing donor atoms such as N, O, S and P as the base. During World War II, inorganic chemists developed around the synthesis of some compounds in the periodic table. In industry, the United States has carried out the research on the solution complex of uranium and transuranic elements based on the Manhattan Project of Atomic Fission. Based on their pioneering achievements, Since Werner founded coordination chemistry, coordination chemistry has been in the mainstream of inorganic chemistry research. In the development of chemical theory, coordination compounds have become the intersection of many disciplines because of their various valence bond forms and spatial structures and their mutual penetration with other disciplines. In terms of application, combined with production practice, the traditional applications of complexes have been continuously developed, such as metal clusters as homogeneous catalysts, the activation of small molecules such as C 1 chemistry and olefins in energy development, and the application of chelating stability differences in hydrometallurgy, elemental analysis and separation. With the development of high technology, so-called functional compounds with special physical, chemical and biochemical functions are developing vigorously all over the world.
