Four classic acupuncture methods of acupuncture and moxibustion

The four classics of acupuncture and moxibustion refer to the four most basic and classic acupuncture techniques recorded in the four classic works of Neijing, Lingshu, Acupuncture A-B Classic and Qianjin Fangyao, namely acupuncture, pricking collaterals, reinforcing and reducing, and sucker.

1. Acupuncture: Also called straight needle or middle needle, it is a common acupuncture technique. Acupuncture is mainly to sterilize the needle tip and insert it directly into the acupoint to achieve the purpose of conditioning human body functions. Acupuncture is divided into one-time acupuncture and multiple acupuncture, which are often used to treat various diseases.

2. Collateral-pricking method: Collateral-pricking method is mainly to acupuncture the meridian points according to the trend of the meridians, so as to achieve the purpose of regulating the meridians, dredging qi and blood, and harmonizing the functions of viscera. Collateral needling is one of the most important acupuncture techniques, which is often used to treat diseases such as pain, trauma and carbuncle.

3, reinforcing and reducing method: reinforcing and reducing method is a common acupuncture method for dispelling cold and tonifying yang, benefiting qi and strengthening spleen. The reinforcing and reducing method is mainly to stimulate some acupoints through acupuncture, regulate the movement of qi and blood, supplement qi and blood or drip qi and blood according to human needs, so as to achieve the purpose of treating diseases or strengthening the body.

4. Suction cup method: Suction cup method is an acupuncture therapy instead of acupuncture. This method mainly sucks the skin tissue at acupoints through suction cups, thus playing a role in regulating and treating diseases. Suction cup method has obvious curative effect and can treat some rheumatic bone diseases, pain, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases.

In addition to the four classic acupuncture techniques, there are some common acupuncture techniques, including:

1, Manipulation: Manipulation refers to strengthening the acupuncture effect by pressing and rubbing fingers while acupoints, so as to achieve the purpose of regulating qi and blood, eliminating diseases and strengthening the body.

2. Moxibustion: Moxibustion refers to a method of treating diseases by igniting with moxa or other substances, and then smoking and baking acupoints or parts.

3. Massage: Massage is a method to adjust the whole body's qi and blood operation and health by means of pressing, pushing and taking.

4. Cupping: Cupping is a traditional acupuncture therapy. Based on the principle of inhalation, the oxygen in the cylinder is burned out by fire, and the cavity in the cylinder quickly covers the meridians and acupoints of patients, thus achieving the purpose of health care or disease treatment.

5. Massage method: Massage is a method to press and rub all parts of the patient's body with fingers, eliminate diseases, relax muscles and collaterals, and adjust body functions.
