Introduction to "The Thirteen Sutras of Buddhism"

An important achievement in the field of Buddhist culture was planned by the Heilongjiang Buddhist Association. After two years of hard work, the lay scholar Mr. Dong Guozhu compiled all the "Thirteen Classics of Shishi" carefully selected by the layman Wu Kunxiu during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1863).

Completed in modern vernacular translation.

The book has more than three million words. Buddhist culture is one of my country's three splendid traditional cultures and a huge wealth of human civilization.

However, Buddhist scriptures are difficult to study and read because of their profound knowledge. It has always been the wish of many Buddhist culture enthusiasts to select representative classics and provide annotations.

The thirteen classics selected and translated by Mr. Dong Guo have the greatest influence, the widest spread, and the most representativeness in Buddhist culture. They are the essence of Buddhist culture and the basic teachings of Buddhist theory.

The "Modern Translation of the Thirteen Buddhist Sutras" (series of books) is divided into Buddhist schools, namely the "Yuanhua Sutra" and "The Brahma Net Sutra" of the Yanhua Department;

The Lankavatara Sutra, the Infinite Life Sutra, and the Infinite Life Sutra; the Diamond Sutra and the Heart Sutra of the Prajna Buddhism; the Lotus Sutra of the Lotus Sutra (volumes 1 and 2) of the Lotus Buddhism; and the Forty-Two Sutras of the Hinayana Buddhism.
