Extraction method of safflower yellow pigment

Method for extracting 1. safflower yellow pigment

1. 1 traditional extraction method

Traditional extraction methods include: water extraction, organic solvent precipitation and so on. The main operation method is that safflower is crushed and soaked in distilled water, and then concentrated solution is obtained through filtration stage. The precipitate in the concentrated solution is centrifugally separated from the pure liquid, dried and crushed. However, we found that the concentration of the finished product extracted by traditional methods is not very high, and it contains a lot of impurities, which is not conducive to preservation.

Water and 70% methanol can extract high concentration of safflower yellow pigment, and 80% acetone can significantly affect the content of safflower yellow pigment and reduce its extraction rate, which shows that the application of water extraction measures to extract safflower yellow pigment has good effect and obvious advantages. Through continuous improvement, the traditional solvent extraction method has been continuously improved. At present, the most ideal extraction method is: the solvent is aqueous solution with pH8.9, the ratio of liquid to material is 25ml/g, and the safflower is extracted at 73℃. In the process of extraction, it is necessary to extract for many times, three times at a time, and the soaking time must be enough, about 98min, which meets these extraction conditions.

1.2 macroporous adsorption resin method

Macroporous adsorption resin is a kind of adsorbent with strong adsorption, which not only has strong adsorption, but also has strong selectivity and adsorption speed. At present, it is widely used as an ideal extraction method of yellow pigment. AB-8 resin as adsorbent and 80% ethanol as eluent. The extracted product has high concentration, less impurities, lower process cost, simple operation and good yield.

Through in-depth analysis of the optimized purification conditions of macroporous adsorption resin, we found that the purity of yellow pigment extracted by this method was obviously higher than that by ethanol precipitation method, and the effect was very good.
