What are the traditional values?
The characteristics of China's traditional values are simply as follows: morality is supreme, ethics is the center, groups are more important than individuals, heaven and man are integrated, knowledge and practice are integrated, Taoism is more important than skills, patriarchal clan system is dominant, righteousness is more important than benefits, and family and country are integrated. Among them, the supremacy of morality is the most fundamental feature of China's traditional values. In China's traditional values, ethics is the highest constraint and code of conduct in all fields of social life and personal life. Whether it is moral or not is the value standard to measure whether everything is correct, which is equivalent to today's law in a sense.
In the face of these complicated values, people should take righteousness as the standard. Anything that conforms to humanity and morality has value and should be chosen. On the contrary, it has no value and should be discarded. Confucius said, "Benevolent people don't live, but die." When choosing between existing things, we should first take moral principles as the standard.
