Wu Bai&ChinaBlue

Wu Bai (Wu Junlin)---- is the lead vocalist and guitarist. CHINA BLUE is not a band that meets and practises only at work; Wu Bai must first consider the space for the performance of the members during the creation of the band, and his music is set up amongst all the members. His music is based on the relationship between all the members of the band, which naturally makes CHINA BLUE always have more tacit understanding than other bands. Because of CHINA BLUE's existence, Wu Bai's musical space can be expanded. Because of his creativity, Wu Bai is always in charge of arousing the lust of the members. There is a special odor that belongs to CHINA BLUE, which is "youthful, naive, real and not too concerned".

Jianhui Zhu (Xiao Zhu) ---- is the bassist and leader of CHINA BLUE. Originally a Burmese expatriate, Zhu is the most experienced band player in China Blue. He is the most experienced band member in CHINA BLUE. He has a steady but not fancy tone, and he can adjust and embellish the tone of other band members, and his understanding of music is the closest to Wu Bai's. He is one of the most important members of CHINA BLUE. He is the most reliable member of CHINA BLUE, and also the guardian of CHINA BLUE's music and life. It is also the guardian of CHINA BLUE's music and life. With such a powerful character, of course, he should be the leader of the group!

DINO ZAVOLTA ---- drummer. Before coming to Taiwan DINO is a cloak long hair, wearing boots, typical heavy rock dress, the biggest change is in the travel to recognize the Oriental countries after. His extremely sensitive and fragile heart, even after playing drums for so many years, still occasionally changes the enzymes in his body due to a black crowd, which in turn changes the rhythm of the band, resulting in CHINA BLUE's ability to maneuver in times of crisis today. Because of DINO's vigorous drumming, Wu Bai's music has become more powerful and explosive. No one will argue with that.

Yu Daho (Big Cat)---- plays keyboards, and serves as the vocalist for all the choruses on the album. A brilliant mind with more ideas than Nine Lives. The instrumental sound has the "old school" solid flavor of the early days of electronic synth music, and the use of timbre and playing style is particularly impressive. The string writing on the song "The End of Love" is the most beautiful tear in the song. Big Cat's soft Keyboard softens Wu Bai's raging guitar. The melody gives Wu Bai's music a subtle beauty. Can make Wu Bai think of a comfortable lying in the clouds of the quilt, a very powerful cat.

From '92 to '95, from Xiyang, Gate to Live Ago-Go, Wu Bai and China Blue became the ****tong memories of many people in the metropolis of Taipei, crowded inside the small pub, knocking bottles, pulling out their throats and singing along with Wu Bai on the stage "Bosses", "I'll live for you as long as I live", "Miss Sulan is getting married", and so on. To this day, many people still remember those exhilarating Friday nights.

After that, Wu Bai & China Blue created a unique music field in Taiwan, from "Prodigal Love Songs", "The End of Love", to the inclusion of the frenzied live performance of "Wu Bai's live - wasted youth", each album has brought a new impact on the Taiwanese music scene.

In September 1996, Wu Bai & China Blue held three "Summer Night Breeze" concerts in Taipei, followed by four large-scale outdoor concerts in the province, "Wu Bai is coming", and the crowd was full of people to burn up the summer. In '97, Wu Bai and China Blue expanded their live performances to Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, where the concerts continued to be a hit with the local Chinese and media.

In 1998, Wu Bai released his latest Taiwanese album, "The Lonely Bird", which featured twelve expressive and distinctive songs! Not only did the songwriting transcend the previous Taiwanese songs, but musically, it was also the first Chinese album to link band sound with electronic music.

In 1998, the "Air Raid Alert" tour, which ran from April to June, attracted more than 120,000 attendees (including performances in Singapore and Malaysia), and became a benchmark for large-scale concerts in Taiwan, thanks to its huge production lineup and workforce.

In the year 2000, Wu Bai & China Blue released their latest Mandarin album "White Dove", a brand new Wu Bai & China blue, is waiting for you to listen to....

1999

White Dove Album

A record in flight ...... "

1999

The record became an accessory to be seen and worn, no longer to be heard. At the same time as pop music was being hollowed out and bubbled up by music itself, Wu Bai & CHINA BLUE's latest Mandarin album 'White Dove', launched amidst the desperate clamor of the crowd, appeared to be particularly compelling.

"Destruction" and "creation" have always been important factors in Wu Bai's appeal to the public: the adventurous "Lone Bird on a Branch", the confrontation of "The End of Love" with the standard Mandarin love songs of the time, and the challenge of the traditional Taiwanese language and the restriction of the recording of the LIVE series of albums, all of which are Wu Bai's way of resisting the disease of the static, and of creating a new experience of music in Taiwan. While the general public is used to pursuing more complex sound patterns, Wu Bai doesn't use avant-garde methods to express a complexity, nor does he use a playful approach to express a sense of fun. "Instead, he focuses on recognizing the land and real life, and these are truly bold moves.

While 'White Dove' seems to be very much Wu Bai's own personal world, it actually contains a lot of explorations of life. For Wu Bai, 'White Dove' is the mood he has been practicing for years, a stage in the journey (not the final stop); because it is still flying, it is a record "in flight".

Album production concept ---- from travel, life to see the process of freedom of mind in Taiwan

『White Dove』album concept took shape, originated from the beginning of '99 with the movie "Beautiful New World" Wu Bai went to mainland China with the film to promote. This year ('98-'99), because of work, Wu Bai many times in and out of Taiwan, Hong Kong, mainland China, Xingma and other Chinese areas, especially in the two places in all aspects of the differences have a deep impression ---- Perhaps Taiwan has many problems, there is a lot of room to strengthen the improvement of the space, but we have the general public is easy to ignore, but also the most intangible valuable "freedom" ---- "White Dove" to see how a hurt The White Dove sees how a wounded Taiwan hopes and flies, and sees the difficulties in Taiwan's life, but also sees the future and hope.

"Even with an eternal wound, at least I still have freedom." ("White Dove" lyrics) "This is a song written for Taiwan." Wu Bai said.

The single "White Dove" was completed in early 1999, and the production of the album "White Dove" was completed by the end of August. After hearing and understanding Wu Bai's intention to focus on Taiwan, the staff was concerned that in a relatively fast-sensory environment, White Dove's attempts at production would not be easily understood and accepted. "White Dove seeks to be a relief from an unsettling environment, a reminder of the freedom of the soul; that we all need to pay more attention to the essence of life, not the glitz and glamor or the emptiness of a disease. It's clear that Wu Bai's compositions are often a return to the essence of music. From the formation of "White Dove" to its production, the original intention of "caring for Taiwan" has not changed, especially after the earthquake, when we re-looked at the process of the creation of "White Dove", we realized the richness of its meaning).

1998 Annual Records

Releases latest Taiwanese-language creative album "Lonely Bird on a Branch".

The band held two sold-out concerts in Malaysia in March, setting a precedent for Chinese singers to hold a standing-room-only rock concert, with fans and the media going crazy.

Wu Bai's commercials for Taiwan Beer were aired in April, followed by the "Wu Bai & CHINA BLUE 1998 Spring Tour - Air Raid Alert - Taiwan Brewery Tour", a five-concert tour of the province. Ticket sales hit a new high, with 100,000 people attending the concerts.

In June, a sold-out concert was held in Singapore, which was covered by the local media.

In June, the band went to Shanghai to shoot the movie "Beautiful New World", playing the role of a wandering singer, and wrote and sang a theme song of the same name for the movie.
