How to see the production date of Chinese cigarettes
1. Find the anti-counterfeiting barcode on the outer package of Chinese cigarettes, especially on the transparent paper of the cigarette box.
2. The first line of the barcode contains 5 digits, which represent the date of manufacture.
3. The first digit of the first line represents the year, the second and third digits represent the month, and the fourth and fifth digits represent the date.
4. For example, if the first digit of the first line of the barcode is "90212", then the factory date of February 12, 2019 can be inferred. It should be noted that the Tobacco Board does not usually allow the sale of cigarettes that have been in storage for more than 10 years, so the first digit of the barcode, "9," usually represents 2019 rather than 2009. In addition, the second and third digits of the code are unlikely to be more than 12 because there are no 13 months, and similarly, the fourth and fifth digits are unlikely to be more than 32.These details can be used as a way of recognizing fake cigarettes.
