Detailed Operation Guide for Getting Started with CAD
Detailed Operation Guide for Getting Started with CAD CAD (Computer Aided Design) was born in the 1960s. It was the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States that proposed a research plan for interactive graphics. Due to the expensive hardware facilities at that time, it was only used by General Motors and Boeing Airlines.
Self-developed interactive drawing system.
The following is a detailed operation guide for getting started with CAD. I hope you will read it carefully! 1. Standard Engineering drawings generally include equipment drawings, flow charts, and layout drawings.
General equipment diagrams include a main view and a top view of the equipment.
The layout drawing must indicate the orientation.
Standards mainly refer to drawing standards, including national standards, industry drawing standards, etc.
For example, national standards stipulate the marking of welds, etc.
Another example is the production standards for title blocks, detail columns, etc. of our chemical drawings.
There are also rigid regulations such as using 0.9mm thick lines for material pipeline lines during the drawing process, and the instrument circle generally has a diameter of 10mm.
But generally these are not very important. In the actual operation process, as long as the drawings are clearly expressed and the content is clearly expressed, it is enough.
2. Drawing CAD drawing mainly uses the tools in the drawing toolbar and modify toolbar in CAD.
(Just understand it first, no need to memorize it by rote) During the use of drawing tools, combined with the auxiliary operations of the status bar, the production of drawings can be completed faster.
Commonly used states include orthogonal, polar, and object snapping.
Others that are not commonly used will not be introduced one by one.
Orthogonal: used for straight line drawing, vertical or horizontal movement of copy movement.
Cancel when no longer needed.
Polar Axis: Helps draw where the intersection ends.
It can also be used to draw straight lines.
Object snapping: mainly snapping and displaying the intersection point or center point.
Completing the teaching of various drawing tools will be a relatively boring job.
It would be time-consuming and laborious to explain them one by one, and it feels completely unnecessary.
So I will first explain the operation of several common tools, and then based on similar and similar principles, I can tell the autumn by just cutting a leaf.
Before introducing this, let’s first talk about some common sense: 1. About the application of the mouse. The mouse wheel in Cad has three functions. 1. Turning the wheel can zoom in and out of the drawing interface, but it cannot reduce the actual size and proportion of the drawing.
2. The roller of the stand-alone machine can be used as a grabbing tool to control the desired drawing location in the center.
3. Left-click to select the operation option and proceed with the subsequent operations.
2. Some operations in the options Similar to Word, after I learn a software, I will first understand some operations in the options to facilitate and simplify the possible inconvenience in subsequent drawing work.
Open "Options" at the bottom of the "Tools" bar. Look at "Display" first. Pay attention to the circled part. It is generally better to adjust the cross cursor to about 25. You can adjust the background color in the "Color" selection box, such as gray (black)
Tone to white: Uncheck the brown mark→Open the color checkbox→ Select the "Window Element" model space background and select "Color" white.
Look at "Open and Save" again. Explain: dwg is a unique format for cad files, similar to doc, which is a unique format for word, docx, which is a unique format for advanced versions such as word2010, etc.
Auto save: can be adjusted to 5 minutes.
Look at the "sketch" again.
Although many of them do not need to be modified, they may be used in the future.
Especially regarding the automatic capture settings.
3. Create a new file Ctrl+N or click "File" to create a new file. "New File Template" can select some fixed blank templates, but I did not find a similar blank document.
If you don’t have it on your computer, just open a document, such as the first one.
Select Open, then use the scroll wheel to zoom out in the open document, click the mouse to draw a rectangular frame to select all the graphics in the document, and then "" delete.
Save as a new document on the desktop.
Then switch to the desktop, copy the new document, switch to CAD, click New again, and paste in the "New File Template" middle box.
Then scroll down to find the blank file you need.
4. Layers (as long as they are clear) Cad layers: In order to facilitate the standardization of CAD, layers are generally needed to assist in the completion.
For example, set the layers to be divided into certain styles: main equipment lines, dashed lines, construction lines, material lines, etc.
Click the "Layer Bar" layer properties manager (upper left corner) to open the management layer.
