How to use Audi Q2L broadcast media?

The following contents apply to the first generation Audi Q2L.

Call the media

Various media can be started and operated through MMI operation unit.

Premise: The media playback source contains audio/video files.

Press the button (as shown below)

(media). Press the left control key repeatedly until the playback source overview is displayed.

Select and confirm the desired playback source. Or: press the button repeatedly (as shown below)

(media) until the desired playback source is selected.

In the menu media, you can choose the following playback sources according to the automobile equipment:

1 car hard disk

2 DVD/CD drives

3 SD card readers

4 Audi music plug-in

Such as iPod, USB flash drive

5 external audio player

Such as MP3 player with AUX interface.

6 Bluetooth audio player

7 WLAN audio player

8 online media

-play audio/video files: select a playback source in the menu "media > category" (for example, artist > album > track).

-Switch to the upper level of the folder structure: press the button (as shown below)

Or: Select and confirm up.

-Select the previous or next track/chapter: Turn the on/off button of MMI operation unit to the left (as shown in the figure below).

Or to the right (as shown below)

Push.

-Fast rewind/fast forward audio/video files: Turn the on/off button of MMI operation unit to the left (as shown in the figure below).

Or to the right (as shown below)

Push.

-Stop or continue playing: Press the on/off button of MMI operation unit briefly.

It should be pointed out that:

-Turn the control button quickly to quickly scroll through long lists. The scrolling speed depends on the number of list items.

-For safety reasons, video images are only displayed when the vehicle is stationary. Only video sound is output during driving.

Through Media Center, you can select audio/video files according to different categories.

Press the button (as shown below)

1 Current playback source

The current playback source will be highlighted. Depending on the connected device or online media service, the symbol of the enabled playback source 1 will adjust itself. Sometimes the device name (such as my mobile phone) is displayed. This example shows a USB flash drive connected through an Audi music plug-in device.

Depending on the enabled playback source, audio/video files can be selected from the following categories and included in the playlist:

2 common settings

If at least one entry is saved in the general settings list, the general settings of the category will be displayed.

Three artists

Show all existing artists. Select and confirm artists, albums, and then select tracks.

4 albums

Show all existing photo albums. Select and confirm the album, and then select the track.

Five schools

Show all existing genres. Select and confirm genre (such as pop music), artist, album, and then select tracks.

6 tracks

Show all existing tracks. Select and confirm tracks.

7 catalogue

Displays the folder structure or list of tracks/chapters. You can select a folder if necessary. Select and confirm tracks.

8 Playlist

Displays all existing playlists and smart playlists on the playback source. Select and confirm the playlist, and then select tracks.

Smart playlist:

-Recently Played Tracks: Displays the recently played tracks in the selected playback source.

-Most Played Tracks: Displays the most played tracks in the selected playback source.

-5 stars to 1 star: Displays the tracks of the selected playback source according to your rating.

-Not rated: Displays all files in the selected playback source without rating information (for example, in the ID3 tab).

9 video

Displays all existing video files. Select and confirm the video file.

It should be pointed out that:

-Only categories supported by each media can be used. For example, CD/DVD ROM tracks cannot be selected by artist, album or genre. Through the iPod/iPhone (playback source: Audi music plug-in device), you can also provide podcasts, audio books and composers.

-For safety reasons, video images are only displayed when the vehicle is stationary. Only video sound is output during driving.

-When synchronizing the portable playback device with the Cloud service, the playlist displayed in the MMI may be wrong. Please use the local media center of each device.

Arbitrary search

Suitable for: cars with arbitrary search function

You can search for tracks and video files in the current playback source.

Input area and search result list of arbitrary search

You can bring up any search according to the selected playback source.

Prerequisite: Display playlist or media center.

Bring up any search

Turn the control button to the left until any search input area 1 is displayed. Or: move the rotation control button up.

Operate any search.

The items containing the input search content are listed in the result list 5. You can search by artist 2, album 3, track 4, genre and video.

It should be pointed out that:

-Search only files in the current media source.

-If category catalog 7 or category composers, podcasts and audiobooks are called during the free search, only files are found at the current catalog level.
