Beware of two wrong tendencies of traditional culture

There are two wrong tendencies to be wary of traditional culture:

1, lack of understanding of the harm of cultural nihilism, lack of necessary critical depth:

Cultural nihilism treats the cultural value of the Chinese nation with contempt, doubt and even negation, which is a concentrated expression of cultural inferiority. Since modern times, with China's repeated failures in the confrontation with western powers, some China people have become increasingly disappointed with their own culture, and their sense of cultural inferiority has become stronger and stronger.

Cultural inferiority will inevitably lead to westernization or even total westernization, which will inevitably lead to cultural nihilism. When they are "nihilistic" about their national culture, they must identify with and worship the western political system, the western development path and the western core values.

At present, this cultural nihilism takes historical nihilism as its main manifestation, which fundamentally denies the value of China's history and Chinese civilization, the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal revolutionary history of China since modern times, the history of revolution and reform and opening up led by China's * * * production party, and finally denies the Socialism with Chinese characteristics system and socialist core values, thus distracting people and objectively catering to the needs of western anti-China forces.

2. Lack of due vigilance against cultural retro-ism, and prejudice of over-affirming traditional culture;

Cultural conservatism and retro-ism are a kind of complacency and arrogance towards the Chinese nation's own cultural attitude and a concentrated reflection of cultural conceit. This bias is often reflected in living on one's laurels and refusing to accept the world's advanced ideology and culture.

There is a tendency to revive Confucian culture in the name of promoting China's traditional culture, and there are even some remarks that attempt Confucian Marxism or Confucian Marxism. This rising cultural conservatism and cultural revivalism are also questioning and denying Socialism with Chinese characteristics's system, theory, road and values.

Inheriting and carrying forward China's traditional culture does not mean sticking to the rules, let alone replacing Marxism with Confucian culture. The guiding ideology of China's * * * production party is Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Socialism with Chinese characteristics theoretical system, which is by no means the traditional culture of China dominated by Confucianism. The modern history of China has proved that Confucian culture is not enough to save China from peril, let alone lead China towards independence and prosperity.
