What is a political elite?

Marxism holds that politics is the product of class society, the superstructure with class social and economic foundation, the concentrated expression of economy, the class relationship with political power as the core and the overall relationship among the people.

(1) The essence of politics is class relations. Politics is the class relationship in class society, which mainly includes the internal relationship between the ruling class and the ruled class. In a society ruled by the exploiting classes, it is mainly manifested in the relationship between the ruling class and the ruled class. In a socialist society after the elimination of the exploiting classes, it is mainly manifested in the relationship among the people, but we should also focus on the overall situation of class struggle at home and abroad and understand the essence of socialist politics.

(2) The core of politics is the state power. Including what is a country? How does the ruling class use the country to rule? How to regulate various class relations and political relations through political power? How to use the power of state power to complete the general political tasks of society and so on. State power is "the main and fundamental problem about all politics". In a class society and a society where the people hold power, the existence and solution of political relations are realized through political power. The opposition between the four cardinal principles in the primary stage of socialism in China and bourgeois liberalization is, in the final analysis, a question of political power.

(3) The root of politics is economy. Economic relationship is the basis of political relationship, and politics is the concentrated expression of economy, which reflects people's fundamental economic and material interests and ensures their realization. In class society, it is concentrated in class struggle, and in socialist society, it is concentrated in the overall interests of our people and even the people of the world.

(4) Political activities are both science and art, and Marxist political science reveals the objective regularity of political activities and is real political science. Politics, as an art, is the art of how the ruling class uses political power to strengthen itself, win allies and attack the enemy. It requires politicians to grasp the regularity of political phenomena, analyze the political situation and adopt appropriate strategies and tactics to deal with complex political problems.
