What is the function of remote water meter?

Remote transmission of water meter is a way to transmit water meter readings to a designated server and manage them through sampling, counting and wireless transmission. Therefore, it includes three parts: base table, transmission and management system.

Base table:

At present, there are two basic meters: pulse type and photoelectric direct reading type. Pulse type uses reed switch to sense the rotation of dial, and the dial sends out a pulse signal every time it rotates, thus accumulating meter readings. Photoelectric direct reading is to read the dial reading through photoelectric induction. Therefore, pulses need to be accumulated, while photoelectric direct reading is state reading. At present, photoelectric direct reading is gradually replacing pulse and becoming the main form of matrix.

Transmission:

At present, there are three main ways of digital transmission: wired remote transmission, self-organized remote transmission and all-wireless remote transmission.

Wired remote transmission: the readings of the base meter are connected in series through RS-485 or M-BUS bus, and then concentrated in the collector. Collectors of an area (usually a community) are concentrated in a concentrator. Then the concentrator uploads all the electricity meter readings to the server through GPRS. This is a more traditional remote transmission mode.

Self-organizing remote transmission: RF mode is mainly used to establish the wireless environment in the area, and the water meter readings are concentrated in the regional concentrator, and then uploaded to the server by the concentrator through GPRS.

Full wireless remote transmission: the full wireless remote transmission initiated by China Mobile Internet of Things and built by Beijing Fenglian Huitong Internet of Things Technology Co., Ltd. adopts short message mode, which can be connected with the nearby remote transmission base meter through RS-485 or M-BUS, and directly send the water meter reading to the server through China Mobile Internet of Things private network. Realize the whole wireless remote transmission of water meter. This transmission mode is more and more favored by water conservancy and water management departments because of its simple structure, small construction amount, convenient maintenance and reliable performance. Recently, it has also become the mainstream trend of water meter remote transmission.

System platform:

After the data is uploaded to the server, the server builds a remote meter reading management platform to manage the water meter reading and realize automatic meter reading. Through the management function of the software, the intelligent management of water meter and pipe network is realized, which provides a basis for the management to make decisions on the production water quantity and the state of pipe network.
