Which province has the most of China's top 100 counties in 2020?

Recently, the 2020 China's Top 100 County Economy Study compiled by the Sadie Advisor County Economy Research Center was officially released, with Jiangsu province accounting for 25 seats, the largest share.

The study shows that the top 100 counties in the east more than the west, strong provinces and strong counties, balanced and full development is the main theme of the county economic development. The eastern part of the top 100 counties accounted for 68 seats, the central region accounted for 21 seats, the western region accounted for 8 seats, and the northeastern region had 3 seats. Compared with 2019, the number of seats in the eastern region decreased by 3, the central region increased by 2 seats, and the western region increased by 1 seat.

The study shows that residents of the top 100 counties have much higher incomes and spending power than the national average.Per capita disposable income in 2019 was 38,700 yuan, with urban per capita disposable income reached 48,000 yuan, and per capita disposable income for rural residents reached 25,400 yuan, 26%, 13% and 59% higher than the national level in that year, respectively. The retail sales of social consumer goods per capita in the Top 100 counties in 2019 amounted to 36,900 yuan, 25.5% higher than the national average of 29,400 yuan for that year, fully reflecting the efforts and effectiveness of the Top 100 counties in improving the living standards of their residents.

The ability of the Top 100 counties to attract capital and population has significantly improved. The balance of deposits in local and foreign currencies of financial institutions in the top 100 counties in 2019 was 10.92 trillion yuan, comparable to that of Shandong Province.
