What kinds of automobile fuels are there? How are they distinguished?

There are two kinds of automobile fuels, gasoline and diesel, which are used for different types of engines to provide power for the operation of vehicles. Gasoline gasoline is a volatile and flammable hydrocarbon mixture liquid which is fractionated and cracked from petroleum, and is widely used as automobile fuel. We often hear "No.92 gasoline", "No.95 gasoline" and "No.98 gasoline" in our daily life ... These labels of gasoline are judged according to the octane number content of gasoline. For example, "No.92 gasoline" means that the octane number of gasoline is the same as that of 92% pure isooctane, so it has a label of 92. The antiknock performance of gasoline is also related to the octane number content. The so-called antiknock property is an index to measure whether the fuel is easy to knock. Generally speaking, the antiknock property of isooctane is defined as 100. The higher the gasoline label, the better the explosion resistance of gasoline.

Does that mean that no matter what car, as long as it is filled with high-grade gasoline? Of course not. Every car will strictly test the performance of the vehicle engine when it leaves the factory, and specify which brand of gasoline to use according to the compression ratio of the engine to deal with the possible knocking during the driving of the car. If you don't add gasoline with other labels according to the engine logo at will, it may lead to frequent knocking of the vehicle, which will seriously consume the engine life and may also lead to extremely serious accidents. At present, most cars on the market use gasoline as vehicle fuel.

Diesel diesel oil is a light petroleum product and a complex hydrocarbon mixture. Like gasoline, diesel has different labels. According to the freezing point, there are 10 diesel oil, 0 diesel oil,-10 diesel oil and so on. According to the temperature of distillate, it can be divided into light diesel and heavy diesel.

Light diesel oil is mainly used as fuel for high-speed diesel engines, and is widely used as fuel for diesel vehicles, drilling, power generation and other equipment. It has good flammability and low temperature fluidity. Heavy diesel oil is mainly used as fuel for large diesel engines with low speed and high horsepower, and is widely used in large ships, fishing boats and other equipment. It has the characteristics of complete combustion, low sulfur content and no corrosion to equipment. Face-to-face market, such as pickup trucks, off-road vehicles and other vehicles with high horsepower requirements use diesel.
