What are the pictures of China's five major dramas?

Among the 273 operas in China, five operas stand out, namely, Peking Opera, Pingju Opera, Henan Opera, Yue Opera and Huangmei Opera, which are called "the five major operas".

Beijing opera

Peking Opera, formerly known as Huizhou Opera, was popular in the south of the Yangtze River in the early Qing Dynasty. It mainly sang and blew tunes, played high notes and played Huang Er. Huiban has strong mobility, frequent contact with other operas, and mutual communication and infiltration in vocal cavity. Therefore, in the process of development, it also performed many Kunqu operas, and also absorbed Luoluo cavity and other zaju. In the fifty-fifth year of Qing Qianlong (1790), the first batch of Huizhou classes (Sanqing classes), headed by Gao Langting (a famous Yueguan), went to Beijing to participate in the celebration performance of Qianlong's 80th birthday. "Yangzhou Painting Boat Record" contains: "Gaolangting entered Beijing, joined Anqing Flower Department, joined Beijing and Qin, and its class was called Sanqing." Yang Maojian's Dream Book, published in the 22nd year of Daoguang (1842), also said: "And the third celebration comes before the fourth celebration. When Qianlong entered the bamboo box in fifty-five years, he called it' Sanqing' and was the originator of Huiban. Wu Zi-shu pointed out more specifically in the Notes on Poems with Boundaries that "Na la Wu, Governor of Fujian and Zhejiang, ordered Zhejiang salt merchants to unite with Anqing Hui people to wish Li". Later, many Huizhou classes went to Beijing in succession. The famous classes are Sanqing, Sixi, Chuntai and Hechun. Although He Shen was founded in the eighth year of Jiaqing (1803), which was later than the thirteenth year of Sanqing, it was still called "Huizhou Class Four went to Beijing" by later generations.

Ju Ping

Pingju was formed in Tangshan in Xuantong Yuan Dynasty (1909) in Qing Dynasty, so it is also called "Tangshan Luozi". In the 12th year of the Republic of China (1923), when Shi Jing Drama Club, which founded this kind of drama, performed in Tianjin, it was renamed as "Pingju" because of its new ideas of "punishing evil and promoting good", "warning the people" and "commenting on the past and discussing the present".

Henan opera; Yu Opera;Henan Opera

Henan Opera is also called "Henan Bangzi" and "Henan High-profile". Because the early actors sang with their own voices, they all turned up the tape at the end of the film with falsetto at the beginning and chorus, which is also called "Henan hoe". In the past, when Henan Bangzi performed in the mountainous area of western Henan, it was often built by the mountain, so people also called it "Shout at the back of the mountain". The name "Henan Opera" came into use only after the founding of New China. Henan Opera is popular in Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Hubei, Ningxia, Qinghai and Xinjiang, and it is one of the most influential operas in China.

Shaoxing opera

Yue Opera, formerly known as "The Songs on the Ground", was popular in Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province, and gradually developed into "Women's Yue Opera" in 1930s.

Huangmei Opera

Huangmei Opera is the main local opera in Anhui. Huangmei Opera, formerly known as Huangmei Tune or Tea-picking Opera, is a folk drama that was formed in the Piling area of Anhui, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces in the late18th century. One of them gradually moved eastward to Anqing, centering on Huaining County, Anhui Province, combined with local folk arts, and sang and spoke in the local language, forming its own characteristics, called "Huaiqiang" or "Huaidiao". This is the predecessor of Huangmei Opera today.
