Cheon Myung-hoon is a member of the Korean group NRG. In Korea, NRG's fame is not inferior to H.O.T.
A survey conducted by Korea's most influential music magazines at the end of 1998*** showed that NRG was voted as the 'most popular singer'.
In 1998-1999, NRG also won the 'Favorite Group Award' in the '98 Seoul Radio Song Awards' organized by 'SPORTS Seoul' (a leading Korean daily newspaper) and the 'New Artist Award' in the '98 SBS Song Contest.
