Basic Wushu Footwork

Wushu, also known as national art or martial arts, traditional Chinese sports. Its content is to kick, fight, wrestling, take, fall, hit, chop, stab and other movements in accordance with certain rules of unarmed and equipment of a variety of offensive and defensive fighting kung fu, routines and single-position exercises. Wushu has an extremely wide mass base and is a valuable cultural heritage accumulated and enriched by the Chinese people in their long-term social practice. It is one of the outstanding cultural heritages of the Chinese nation.

1, lunge

Description of the action: the front foot slightly inward buckle, the whole foot on the ground, bend the knee and half squatting, the thigh into the horizontal, the knee is about perpendicular to the surface of the foot; the other leg straighten the knee, the toes buckle diagonally in front of the foot, the whole foot on the ground, the upper body directly in front of the hands clasped hands between the waist.

Key points: chest, waist; front leg bow, back leg taut.

Errors and corrections:

(1) The back foot pulls the heel or outside to lift the foot.

Correction: emphasize the heel strike.

(2) Bending the knee of the back leg.

Correction: emphasize the knee stance.

(3) Forward leaning of the upper body.

Correction: emphasize hip sinking.

Teaching tip: Combine the maneuver with a left and right lunge in place or between rows, and practice alternately.

2, horse stance

Description of the action: the two feet open about three to four times the length of the foot, the toes of the foot is facing the front, bend the knees and half squatting, thighs into the horizontal, eyes in front, hands clasped fist at the waist.

Key points: head is right, chest, waist, buckle feet.

Easy to make mistakes and corrections:

(1) toe flare. Corrective method: emphasize the heel outstrike.

(2) The distance between the feet is too large or too small. Correction: Measure the distance between the three feet and then squat into a horse stance.

(3) Bend the knees.

Correction: emphasize the chest, waist stand before squatting, knees should not exceed the toes.

Teaching tip: Do the transition exercise between horse stance and lunge in place, or combine it with the maneuver.

3, false step

Description of the action: back toe oblique forward, bent knee half squatting, thighs close to the level of the whole foot on the ground; the front leg slightly flexed, the foot surface is taut, the toes of the false point on the ground.

Key points: chest, waist, clear distinction between reality and reality.

Easy to make mistakes and correct the method:

(1) The virtual reality is not clear.

Correction: Wait for the supporting leg to squat, and then land on the front toe.

(2) The supporting leg does not squat.

Correction: toe out and do more leg exercises.

Teaching tip: Do high posture exercises first, then combine with the maneuver to do the correct movement.

4, servant step

Action Description: one leg squatting, thigh and calf close, hip close to the calf, the whole foot on the ground, the knee and toes slightly abducted; the other leg flat close to the ground, the whole foot on the ground, the toes of the foot buckle.

Key points: chest, waist, hip open, full feet on the ground.

Errors and corrections:

(1) The leg is not straight, the outside of the foot is lifted up, and the toes are turned up and spread.

Correction: the outside of the foot of the paving leg is pressed against the fixture to make it correct.

(2) The full squat leg is not squatted to the bottom and the heel is lifted.

Correction: Increase ankle flexibility and emphasize sinking the hip and twisting the waist when laying the leg flat.

(3) Upper body leaning forward

Corrective methods: chest, waist and then squat.

Teaching Hints:

(1) Put your posture higher first, then do the correct movement.

(2) Combine with manipulation exercises.

5, resting step

Description of the action: cross the legs and bend the knee squatting, the front foot on the ground, toes out; the back heel off the ground, the outside of the buttocks close to the rear calf.

Key points: chest, waist, legs close.

Easy to make mistakes and corrections:

(1) The legs are not tightly attached, and the back leg is kneeling on the ground.

Correction: Emphasize that the knee of the hind leg passes through the rouge socket of the front knee.

(2) Unsteady movement.

Correction: full adduction of the front toes, standing waist, and tightness of the legs.

Teaching tip: same as false step.

6, Ding step

Description of the action: half squatting with both legs together, one foot on the ground to support the whole foot, the other foot stops on the inside of the support foot, toes pointing to the ground.
