Italy is the second developed country in Europe to reach full cooperation with China's 5G, and Vodafone Italia, one of Italy's three major telecom carriers, has publicly announced that it is adopting China's Huawei's 5G technology, and that it will popularize 5G in 100 Italian cities and towns by 2021. At the same time, Italy is also one of the European respondents to China's important strategy of "One Belt - One Road".

Italy is the first G7 country to sign a cooperation agreement on the Belt and Road Initiative. The agreement was signed two years ago. Italy has become the most important and influential country among all Western countries in terms of cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative with China.
