China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) released the 2010 power operation situation on the 11th, showing that the country's power generation in 2010 amounted to 4,141.3 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), an increase of 13.3% over the previous year, and an increase of 7 percentage points over the previous year. Among them, thermal power 3,325.3 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 80.3%; hydropower 662.2 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 16%; nuclear power 73.4 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 1.77%; wind power 43 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 1.04%, and other power generation such as solar energy accounted for 0.89%.
