Folk Culture in Nanyang Township

Although ancient Nanyang Township was divided into 1 1 administrative villages after liberation, the cultural symbol of "Nanyang" has been preserved in the lives of more than 40,000 people and 40,000 overseas travelers in this1/village. When I left the village, I said, "I'm from Nanyang." There are 6 temples in Nanyang ancient town, which are owned by 1 1 village. Most of the villagers in this 1 1 village believe in Sanshan King, Mazu and Longyewei, and they often worship together. The most lively day is the second day of the twelfth lunar month, which is a "hot day" in ancient Nanyang Township, because this day is the anniversary of the death of Guo Hao, the second ancestor of the Guo family. On this day, Guo folks from Nanyang Township at home and abroad came back. Eight bands from 1 1 village got together to hold a celebration. The members of these 1 1 bands are not all close to Guo, Liao, Du and Zheng, and all the villagers, regardless of their surnames, are happy to celebrate this grand festival.

The administrative division of ancient Nanyang township has changed, but the cultural circle and life circle of villagers have not changed so far.

The two grandfathers of the Guo family and Guo Hao are known as "Fenyang Shize, keeping the family style". In order to trace back to the source, inherit and carry forward the fine tradition of ancestors' patriotism and diligence for the people, and inspire future generations to love the motherland even more, we hold a folk cultural and artistic activity to worship ancestors in turn in four villages founded by Guo Hao's descendants, including Nanyang Township, every year on December 12 of the lunar calendar.
