Achievements of Dongzogdo Village

The "Famous Historical and Cultural Towns and Villages of China" are evaluated by the Ministry of Construction and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage***, mainly to recognize towns and villages that are particularly rich in preserved cultural relics and have significant historical value or commemorative significance, and that can more completely reflect the traditional appearance and local ethnic characteristics of some historical periods. Up to now, 3 batches of Famous Historical and Cultural Towns (Villages) have been evaluated nationwide, and 85 Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Towns and 72 Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Villages have been evaluated. Among them, the list of the third batch of Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural (Towns) and Villages includes 41 Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Towns and 36 Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Villages. Dongzuo Island Village was included in the first batch of traditional villages within the scope of central financial support in 2014, and this time there are 6 traditional villages in the province*** selected. It is reported that the central finance will coordinate special funds for rural environmental protection and other aspects, and invest in the selected villages.
