Functions of United Front Work Department

The United Front Work Department is the functional department of the Party Committee in charge of United front work, which undertakes the responsibilities of understanding the situation, mastering policies, coordinating relations, arranging personnel, increasing knowledge and strengthening unity, mainly including:

(1) Investigate and study the theories, policies, laws and regulations of the United front, fully reflect the situation of the United front to the Party Committee, put forward opinions and suggestions on the United front work, organize and coordinate the implementation of the United front policies and laws and regulations, check the implementation, and coordinate all aspects of the United front work.

(2) To be responsible for contacting the democratic parties, taking the lead in coordinating the work of people without party affiliation, implementing the principles and policies of the democratic parties and people without party affiliation, supporting the democratic parties and people without party affiliation to perform their duties and play their roles, and supporting and helping them to strengthen their own construction.

(three) to investigate and study the situation of non-party intellectuals, reflect opinions, coordinate relations, put forward policy suggestions, and contact representatives of non-party intellectuals.

(4) Investigate and study the theories, principles, policies, laws and regulations on ethnic and religious work, take the lead in coordinating and inspecting the implementation, handle important work and major issues, coordinate and carry out publicity and education on Marxist ethnic and religious views and related theories and policies, contact representatives of ethnic minorities and religious circles, and train and recommend ethnic minority cadres in conjunction with relevant departments.

(five) to investigate and study the situation of non-public economic people, coordinate relations, put forward policy suggestions, unite, serve, guide and educate non-public economic people, and carry out ideological and political work.

(VI) Carry out overseas United front work in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, contact relevant parties, organizations and representatives in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Province Province and overseas, investigate and study the principles, policies, laws and regulations of United front work in Hong Kong and Macao in conjunction with relevant departments, and do a good job in the related work of Taiwan Province compatriots and Taiwan Province's family members.

(7) To be responsible for the relevant work of the NPC and CPPCC in arranging non-party representatives, work with relevant departments to arrange non-party representatives to hold leading positions in the government and judicial organs, do a good job in building the ranks of non-party representatives and reserve cadres, assist democratic parties in cadre management, and reflect and solve practical difficulties in the work and life of non-party representatives.

(eight) to guide the United front work of the lower party committees, assist in the management of the heads of the United front departments of the lower party committees, and be responsible for training the heads of the lower United front departments; Coordinate the United front work of relevant government departments and assist in recommending members of the leading bodies of ethnic and religious departments; Leading the leading party group of the Federation of Industry and Commerce and guiding the work of the Federation; Do a good job in the organization and management of the United front.

The United Front Work Department of the Central Committee leads the Party Group of the Central Institute of Socialism and guides its work.

(9) Responsible for United front propaganda.

In addition, the United Front Work Department takes the lead in coordinating, supervising and inspecting the work of the United Front. The United Front Work Department should strengthen communication, coordination and cooperation with CPPCC organizations, strengthen work guidance for ethnic and religious work departments, counselor's offices and literature and history research offices, and support and cooperate with foreign affairs, Taiwan Affairs Office, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Hong Kong and Macao and other work departments to do relevant work.
