Deyang Confucian Temple is located atNo. 133, Wenmiao Street, Jingyang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province.

Founded in the second year of the Jubilee of the Southern Song Dynasty, it is now a reconstruction relic of the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 20,800 square meters. The ancient buildings and patterns of Deyang Confucian Temple are well preserved. The existing pattern takes Dacheng Hall as the center, and the north and south form the central axis, which is symmetrically arranged left and right. From south to north, the central axis is Wan Ren Palace Wall, Xingxingmen, Chi Pan, Panqiao, Jimen, Ritual Pavilion, Dacheng Hall and Kaisi, with roads on both sides.

Deyang Confucian Temple is a well-preserved large-scale Confucian temple with strong local characteristics in western China. Known as the Confucian Temple in Deyang, it is the base for Deyang residents to accept traditional culture and education. After 1990, Deyang Confucian Temple resumed music and dance performances in accordance with the pattern and ritual system of the Qing Dynasty, and held traditional activities such as offering sacrifices to Confucius, adult ceremonies and opening ceremonies every year to inherit and carry forward traditional culture.

1, Wan Ren Palace Wall

The Wan Ren Palace Wall of Deyang Confucian Temple is 29.64m long,1.4m thick and 9.96m high. The roof of the palace has a wall cap and a yellow glazed tile roof, and the red ground shines on the wall. The front is divided into three parts: left, middle and right. In the middle area, there are yellow glazed brick carving dragons and playing with pearls, colored brick carving peony flower arrangement, piano halberd and so on. On the left and right sides, there are yellow glazed tiles, carved Yunlong fire beads, high gorges, pavilions and ships piled up.

2. Lingxingmen

Lingxing Gate of Deyang Confucian Temple is 20.8m long,1.9m wide and 9.9m high. Lingxingmen consists of three towering stone archways, one of which has four columns and three floors in the middle, two columns and single buildings on both sides. Almost the whole building is carved, including two dragons playing with pearls, two phoenixes rising from the sun and ichthyosaurs.

3. Chi Pan Panqiao

The pan pool of Deyang Confucian Temple is semi-oval, the pan bridge is a three-* *, single-hole stone arch bridge, and the bridge is in a stepped arch shape. On the bridge and around the basin, fence boards and watchposts are used, and stone lions of different shapes are carved on the stigma.
