The fundamental reason is that farmers have been allocated land.

Land is the ultimate dream of farmers for generations. Immediately after the founding of the People's Republic of China, our Party implemented the land reform, confiscated all the land of landlords and rich people, and distributed it to the broad masses of peasants, thus winning the support of the peasant class fundamentally.

In the three major transformations, the state needs to establish rural collective economic organizations to develop the socialist economy. Because farmers with scattered means of production cannot independently carry out effective agricultural production, farmers objectively need the form of collective labor.

To sum up, the broad masses of farmers actively participate in agricultural production cooperatives, which is not only the trust in the leadership of the party, but also the fact that the actual productivity is too low, which objectively requires the collective economy.
