Dongzhiyuan Jin surname Xiongnu descendants

Xiongnu, once the overlord of grassland and the descendant of Dayu, has a clear record in historical records: "Xiongnu, the descendant of its ancestor Xia Houshi, is also called Chunwei." Among them, "Xia Houshi" is another name of Xia Dynasty, and "Miao" means descendants.

Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Xiongnu and the Central Plains have been at war, and once famous soldiers such as Wei Qing, Huo Qubing and Li Guang emerged.

Later, the Xiongnu was divided into two parts, and the southern Xiongnu gradually merged into the Han nationality, and the main force of the northern Xiongnu magically disappeared, becoming an eternal mystery. "The Biography of Southern Xiongnu in the Later Han Dynasty" said that "Beikhan fled and didn't know where he was."

Where did the Huns go? Later scholars believed that some of them went to Hungary and became their ancestors; Some of them are hidden in Anhui.

Nanxi Ancient Village, located in the deep mountain valley of Huayuan Township, dongzhi county, Anhui Province, has 1500 households. The village was selected as the first batch of traditional villages in China.

Nanxi ancient village is also called Jinjia village, because more than 80% of the people in the village are surnamed Jin. There is a strange rule in the village that has lasted for thousands of years: people with the same surname can't get married.

Because it is located deep in the mountains, Nanxi ancient village was once little known, and it was not until it was discovered by experts in 2006 that it ended its relatively closed and isolated state.
