How to polish pebbles

If you spend more, polish it with a machine, and if you spend less, do it yourself.

1, clean the stone surface

According to different natural cobblestone surfaces, different cleaning materials and methods can be used. Generally speaking, the stone can be soaked in clear water for a period of time, and then the dirt on the surface is softened, and then the dirt is cleaned with a brush; If dirt is difficult to clean, you can also use some dilute hydrochloric acid as cleaning agent. But if it is soft stone, try not to use dilute hydrochloric acid to avoid damaging the surface and color of stone. The general principle is: try to keep the original color and skin integrity of the stone.

2. Dry the stone.

Method 1: natural drying; Method 2: heating and drying. The heating method can be heated by electric air duct. You can also choose a sunny and hot day to heat the stone. Method 3: You can also bake wax while heating. General principle: the purpose of heating stone is to make wax easily penetrate into stone.

3. Choose waxy materials?

Generally speaking, the wax that is easy to find is the white mineral wax used for lighting at ordinary times. Of course, there are other hard wax materials. Another waxy substance is liquid wax.

4. Waxing (baking wax)

For hard wax, you can also use a heating tool (such as a hair dryer) to aim at the wax while heating, so that the wax can slowly penetrate into the stone; You can also put the hard wax into a container and heat it until it melts, and then brush the wax liquid on the surface of the stone to make the wax liquid slowly penetrate into the stone. In this process, you can also use an electric fan to heat the wax to speed up the seepage velocity of the wax liquid.

Step 5 Extrude wax (remove wax)

After the wax liquid soaks into the tunnel to a certain extent, scrape off the wax on the stone surface that is no longer soaked, and then wipe the stone surface with a dry and soft cloth (such as cotton cloth). If the stone has a strong ability to absorb wax liquid, the above process can be repeated. Continue to wipe hard with a dry cloth until the stone surface produces wax light. In principle, liquid wax also operates in this way.
