Catalog History

Lou Guan Tai Taoist Temple is the place where Lao Zi preached the Tao Te Ching, so named because Yin Xi, a great doctor of the Zhou Dynasty, who was good at astronomy and astrology, built a building here to watch the stars and the qi, and welcomed Lao Zi to preach the Tao Te Ching here. Therefore, Louguan Terrace can be said to be the birthplace of Taoist culture, and is also the ancestral home of Taoism, Xanadu, a holy place. Since the Zhou Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, there are more than 60 emperors personally or sent to pay homage to Laozi more than a hundred times, and repeatedly built. Such as Qin Shi Huang in front of the grass building to build a clear temple, Han Wu Di Wang Xian Palace, Tang Gaozu built Zong Sheng Guan as the Royal ancestral temple.

Status

Louguantai for the Shaanxi Province, Xi'an City, under the guidance of the Taoist Association of independent religious groups, is now one of the first open China's large temples, but also the Northwest's largest ten jungles and one of the top ten scenic spots in Xi'an, often receiving domestic and foreign tourism, religious pilgrimage, for the guests of the good faith to pray and welcome the good luck. For example, the German Chen-style Taijiquan Association and the Taiwan Cross-Strait Taoist Cultural Exchange Association had gone to the exchange in 1998. Lou Guantai is a Taoist temple of the Longmen School of Quanzhen Taoism, whose management is based on the traditional jungle norms of Taoism combined with today's management experience and a self-contained system, which has trained many Taoist disciples who are proficient in Taoist jiao-festival rituals, cultivation and health care, martial arts and medicine, and Yigua.

Geography

It is located in Xi'an Zhouzhi County, fifteen kilometers southeast of the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains, sixty kilometers from Xi'an, 65 kilometers from the Xianyang International Airport, east of the Cao Tang Temple of the translation of Hatamo Roshi, next to the ancestor of the Quanzhen Palace of the Chongyang Palace, the west of the Xianyousi Temple and the Heihe River Diversion Hub project place. Northwest can look at the Famen Temple, due north of the confrontation with Wu Zetian's Qianling Mausoleum, south of the Qinling Mountains, southwest of the Taibai Mountain. With Louguan Terrace as the center, it forms a network of Taoist culture radiating from Guanzhong, which is known as "the blessed land of Zhongnan".

Architectural layout

Louguan Terrace, a pleasant landscape, a quiet ravine and clear springs, lush forests and cultivated forests, "the world's first blessed place" reputation. The scenery is full of strange peaks and cliffs, waterfalls and caves, winding water and wet springs, and exotic flowers. Lou Guan Dai's halls, towers, platforms, caves, springs and other cultural relics and monuments are scattered, such as Yu Hua Guan, Lv Zu Cave, Laozi's tomb, the Queen Mother's Palace and other sites more than 60. There are more than ninety inscriptions and stone tablets in the temple, such as the "Record of Zongsheng Guan of the Great Tang Dynasty" written by Ouyang Xun, and "Ancient Son" written in seal script by Gao Wenju of the Yuan dynasty theater, and so on. Throughout the ages, Zhong Li Quan, Lv Dongbin, Li Bai, Bai Juyi, Su Shi and other highwaymen left a large number of beautiful poems in Louguan Terrace.
