The Spread of Volleyball in China

General situation of volleyball development in China

(A) China volleyball before the introduction of six-a-side volleyball.

Sports historians agree that volleyball was introduced to China in 1905. 1965438+At the first Far East Games held in Manila in February 2003, the host temporarily decided to add a volleyball competition, but only the host signed up. In order to complete the plan, the host insisted on China's participation. Without any preparation, China team selected players from track and field and football players to form a volleyball team, and played after listening to the introduction of the game methods and rules by the host. After the first Far East Games, Guangdong players who returned from the competition were promoted in Guangzhou.

China Women's Volleyball Team started in Guangdong Games 192 1. After volleyball was introduced into China, it experienced the evolution of 16, 12, 9-player and 6-player competition systems;

From 1905 to 19 19, the volleyball competition in China adopts the competition system of 16, and 16 is divided into 4 rows with 4 players in each row, and the positions are not rotated. At that time, the level was very low and the play was relatively simple. Later, the two sides developed from player support in the middle of the first two rows to support and then attack, but the blocking technology has not yet appeared.

From 19 19 to 1927, the 12 player system is adopted, and 12 players are divided into three rows, with four players in each row, and their positions do not rotate. The technology has developed to serve by hand, and there are also single blocking and falling to the ground to save the ball. The attack was changed from the middle to the spiking of players on both sides.

From 1927 to 195 1, 9-person system is adopted. Nine-player system has been in China for 24 years. Nine players are divided into three rows, with three players in each row, and the positions are not rotated.

(B) China six-a-side volleyball development overview

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), volleyball, like other sports, has developed rapidly. 195 1 according to the international rules and domestic conditions, the China six-a-side volleyball rules were formulated, which were approved by the Preparatory Committee of the All-China Sports Federation and tried out nationwide. In the same year, the National Basketball and Volleyball Competition Conference was held, and the six-a-side volleyball competition was officially adopted.

The development of China six-a-side volleyball is summarized into seven stages.

Stage 1: Inheritance learning stage (195 1 year-1956)

At this stage, we mainly inherit the techniques of overhand pass, hook serve, frontal and hook smash, fastball and block, fastball cover attack and collective block, and learn from the advanced technologies of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe to gradually popularize six-a-side volleyball.

The second stage: groping development stage (1956-1966)

At present, all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions are striving to develop their own different styles and styles of play according to their own characteristics. Premier Zhou invited Daimatsu Bowen to lead the then world champion Japanese women's volleyball team to visit China. The training principle of "three obedience and one big" was clearly put forward, which played a great role in promoting volleyball at that time and took a gratifying step on the road of its own technical development.

Stage III: Low tide stage (1966-1972)

Ten years of turmoil has seriously disturbed the rising volleyball, and the hard and tenacious training style, strict requirements and strict training tradition have been completely destroyed.

The fourth stage: recovery stage (1972-1980)

1972 held a three-ball training work conference, summed up the past experience and lessons, defined the tactical guiding ideology, formulated a five-year development plan for volleyball, established a volleyball training base, and organized annual training in a planned way.

The fifth stage: the peak stage (198 1 year-1986).

At this stage, China women's volleyball team won the world championship for five years, and the men's volleyball team ranked fifth, which is the best in history.

The sixth stage: low tide stage (1980s -2002)

China women's volleyball team has experienced ups and downs, but the men's volleyball team failed to catch up with the level in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Seventh stage: recovery stage (2002-present)

The women's volleyball team won the world championships in the 2002 World Cup and the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, and the men's volleyball team is still struggling.
