A few things you must know about porters

Selling physical strength is probably the most unpopular job in all occupations, and I am afraid there will be no students engaged in such a business after graduation. Before I entered the home improvement industry, I had many misunderstandings about the occupation of manual labor, and now I find out:

It turns out that the world is wonderful. We often sit in the sky.

There are two occupations that sell physical strength, porters and porters. Some people only pull goods, while others both pull goods and work as porters. We usually have some misunderstandings about the profession of selling manual labor.

I am a home improvement material. Every day, the company sends out dozens of products. Once your own logistics system can't be delivered, you will basically ask a porter for help.

Paint, putty powder and finding equal home improvement materials are all calculated in kilograms, and the most common specification is 20-25 kilograms. If the porter comes to help us deliver the goods, the price will be charged according to the delivery distance and quantity. Usually the transportation cost is between 50- 150 yuan (not including going upstairs).

I often deal with porters, usually delivering them about 4-5 times a day, and most porters can make 300-400 yuan orders a day.

Someone must ask, isn't every business good? Yes, I'm talking about the conventional mode, because the things in home decoration are relatively heavy, and not many people are engaged in this profession. Home decoration tiles, accessories, paint need porters. Maybe we are busy at the end of this project, and tiles and plates are busy in other months. After a normal year, most porters are very busy.

There are two telephone appointments in our store every day, and we are often worried that we can't make an appointment for porters. Yesterday, 32 tons of products arrived from our logistics warehouse, and we all need to make an appointment for porters one or two days in advance. Moreover, the quantity of more than 30 tons is only our inventory of single items in a month, which shows that the handling market is really busy.

I read a news today that 50% of the industries will be replaced by machines in the future, but there is really no way to eliminate the industries that move. Can you find a machine to carry people upstairs? It's so unrealistic.

Regarding this misunderstanding, I want to ask a question first: If you are engaged in a busy job, are you tired every day? In a restaurant with a good business, the waiters are busy and criticized by various customers. There are also people who drink too much and drink crazy (I have worked as a waiter myself and know the sadness of waiters).

Don't you get tired of doing this every day?

Compared with hotel waiters, I think porters are more tired than waiters. When the company is busiest, if the driver can't deliver the goods, I will help. The porter is not too tired to deliver the goods. Just like a courier, fast food is a three-wheel delivery of parcels and a three-wheel delivery of materials. There is a car in the car. When you get to the owner's house, just pile the goods together.

A little common sense of science: under normal circumstances, we want a porter to deliver the goods, and we will calculate the money according to the nature of the delivery. For example, if you go to your host's house, you can go directly to the elevator by car (wheelbarrow with wheels, pulling goods) and share the money equally. If it is delivered to the owner's home, there is no elevator, and it is necessary to move the stairs to deliver the goods, then it will be considered as extra money.

Take the stairs and call it upstairs. Now the cost of going upstairs in Yangzhou is 80 cents, for example, sending 20 packages of putty powder to the third floor of the villa, 80 cents on the first floor, a package of 2.4 yuan and 20 packages of 48 yuan on the third floor. If I am an amateur, it will take about 30-40 minutes to get 20 packets of putty powder to the third floor. (If you can't run ten kilometers, it will start from one hour by default. )

The driver of our company is very cute. One of the older drivers is 52 years old. Deliver goods outside every day, and often tell us, alas, this day is so cool, eat every day, go home and have a good sleep. (Drivers deliver goods about 3-5 times a day, and often need to move goods upstairs. )

When busy, I also help to deliver goods upstairs as usual. I prefer selling physical strength to being a waiter, because at least no one makes unreasonable demands and puts the goods in order, and there is nothing else.

Those with good physical strength can be sent twice a day, and those with poor physical strength can be sent once in the morning and once in the afternoon. There are also female porters in the industry who can deliver goods for several days a day.

Our boss often tells me that exhaustion of physical strength is very easy to replenish, and a good sleep at night can replenish it. You young people, you must be willing to suffer. I'm impressed.

Among the porters I contacted, there are about 10 young people who do this kind of manual labor, aged between 20 and 28. I don't think it is necessary to describe the life of young people, which is the same as our entertainment. As for the older porters, they like playing mahjong and fishing.

Tell a person who is very close to life, our driver, our porter, and a person who loves cleanliness. Because there will be powder in home improvement materials, people will often get dirty. Therefore, drivers usually bring two clothes, one for work and one for daily use. I started to change clothes after work, bought some chicken feet and a bottle of beer on my way home, and sat at the end of the world watching heartbroken people, well, still eating chicken feet.

I believe that most people choose not to sell their physical strength. Besides feeling ashamed, a very important reason is that porters have no future. If you work in other industries, you will have some accumulation more or less, and the porters will break it purely by physical strength. No matter how much experience you have, your poor physical fitness is also a white tower.

After receiving the last paragraph, I wrote that about 10 young people are doing manual labor, and I have communicated with them. They can get about 654.38+million a year on average (not desperate). If these people have some ideas, they can do it for a few years, then open a small shop, learn something and start their own business.

? I went to Shanghai to study, and I passed Suzhou on my way back. The boss met the boss of an enterprise in Suzhou, who is also a porter, and has a solid foundation. Therefore, whether a career has a future is related to people and has nothing to do with the career itself.

The original intention of writing this article is actually some small things. The proprietress was talking about financial management, and I was surprised at what company the porter recommended to him. When I learned that the porter had invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in a product, I immediately stood in awe and silently fed me a bite of dog food, like a frog in a well.

One day, after a porter delivered something to us, our company settled the bill. We chatted in the shop for a while, and we asked him why he worked so hard.

He said, my son's house has been bought for him, and I will retire if I buy another house for my grandson ...?

Porters can carry dozens of kilograms of goods or a family sky.
