The main responsibilities of Shaoguan Municipal Transportation Bureau

(a) the implementation of national and provincial transportation policies, laws and regulations, formulate relevant normative documents, organize the preparation of the city's highway, waterway, urban public transport and other transportation industry development planning. Participate in the development planning of logistics industry, guide the relevant system reform of highway and waterway industries, and guide the transportation industry to optimize its structure and coordinate its development.

(two) responsible for the planning and coordination of the comprehensive transportation system. Organize the preparation of comprehensive transportation system planning in conjunction with relevant departments, and organize and coordinate the planning and management of transportation hubs.

(three) to undertake the supervision responsibility of the road and waterway transportation market. Responsible for road administration, transportation and port management, and responsible for the industry management of urban public transport (including taxis), road passenger and freight transport, road passenger and freight transport stations (fields), motor vehicle maintenance, transport services, motor vehicle driver training, water transport, water transport services, ocean shipping tally, shipping agents, ports, docks and port and shipping facilities.

(four) to undertake the responsibility of market supervision of highway and waterway construction. Organize and coordinate the supervision and management of key projects related to highway and waterway construction, project quality, safety production and cost, guide the management and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, and undertake the management and maintenance of related important facilities.

(5) To be responsible for the management and supervision of transportation capital construction funds, coordinate or participate in the collection of transportation funds, be responsible for the allocation and supervision of transportation funds under the administration of the bureau, guide the collection and management of port cargo tolls, and be responsible for the management of toll roads and the organization, coordination and supervision of toll stations.

(six) to guide the safety production and emergency management of highway and waterway industries, organize the implementation of key materials and emergency passenger and freight transportation, and be responsible for the traffic readiness of highway and waterway.

(seven) to formulate the development plan of science and technology in the transportation industry, guide and supervise the implementation of technical standards and norms in the transportation industry, and guide the environmental protection and energy conservation and emission reduction in the highway and waterway industries.

(eight) to guide and supervise the city's transportation administrative law enforcement work.

(nine) to organize, coordinate and participate in the management of foreign capital utilization, foreign cooperation and exchanges in highway and waterway transportation industries, and participate in foreign-related traffic management.

(ten) to undertake other tasks assigned by the Municipal People's government and the Provincial Communications Department.
