Fireworks are a non-heritage in which country
China has mastered the technology of making fireworks in ancient times, and fireworks have always been an integral part of traditional Chinese culture. Fireworks have a long history in China, having been recorded as early as the Tang Dynasty (618-907), and reaching their peak of production in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Today, fireworks are still widely used in many Chinese festivals and celebrations, such as the Spring Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day.
Besides in China, fireworks have also been passed down in other countries and regions, but the birthplace and source of fireworks culture is China. In 2016, the firework making technique was listed as a masterpiece of intangible cultural heritage of China by UNESCO.
