What is modernization

Modernization means capitalization. It includes: democratization and legalization in politics, industrialization and commercialization in the economic field, rationalization and scientificization in thought.

Modern relative to traditional, the process of modernization is the process of change from traditional society to modern society, which will cause changes in all aspects of social productive forces, economic system, political system, ideology and culture and even people's way of life, values and psychological attitudes of pluralism, the core of which is the industrialization of the economy and the democratization of politics.

The modernization of the western world is also called capitalization. Modernization in China, a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, had distinctive features. The first 80 years of modernization in modern China can be called capitalism; the last 30 years added a new connotation, namely, the new democratic revolution led by the proletariat, which opened the way for socialism.

In this process, two major issues had to be resolved: national independence and national liberation, and prosperity and sustained development.

Modernization, also known as modernization, is mainly marked by the industrialization of production and the democratization of politics.

1. In terms of process, it is a necessary stage in the transformation of human society from traditional agricultural society to modern industrial society.

2. From the content point of view, it is a social change driven by science and technology, centered on industrialization, with machine production replacing manual labor, machine factories replacing family workshops and manual workshops as the main symbols, and giving rise to a full range of changes in the economic system, the political system, the way of life, and even the way of thinking.

3. In modern China, modernization, that is, industrialization and the political, economic and cultural changes accompanying industrialization, is the realization of the transformation of society, that is, from a feudal society to a modern society.

4. To accomplish this historical task, two major issues must be resolved: first, national independence and national liberation (prerequisite, foundation), and second, prosperity, strength and sustained development of society (purpose, requirement).

Under the stimulation of the world trend, the Chinese people, in order to save the national crisis, learn from the West, develop the capitalist economy, the pursuit of capitalist democratic politics, is the process of China's modernization .
