Venezuela - January 15 is celebrated as Teachers' Day every year. The day is celebrated with a general assembly, as well as honoring teachers by laying flowers on them and other activities.
Thailand - January 16 is designated as Teachers' Day every year. The day is celebrated with a national school vacation. In celebration ceremonies around the country, awards and flowers are presented to teachers who have retired and those who have just joined the workforce in the current year.
Sudan - Starting from February 24, 1971, the country implemented educational reforms and designated this day as Teachers' Day. All primary and secondary schools are given a day off to celebrate and commemorate the day.
Czech Republic, Slovakia - March 28 is designated as Teachers' Day every year. In the week before and after this day, the country widely and solemnly held activities to honor teachers. The state awards medals or honors to outstanding teachers, etc.
Germany - June 12 is designated as Teachers' Day every year. Activities to honor teachers are held everywhere.
Hungary - the first week of June every year must be designated as Teachers' Day. Before the day, the state will hold a teachers' congress,
recognizing and naming a number of outstanding educators, and in some cases, awarding heavy prizes.
North Korea - In commemoration of President Kim Il Sung's September 5, 1977, publication of the Outline of Socialist Education, the day was designated as Teachers' Day.
India - September 5 is designated as Teachers' Day every year, while Children's Day in India on November 14 every year is simultaneously designated as a holiday for Indian child educators.
United States - September 28 is designated as Teachers' Day every year. This was statutorily passed by both houses of the United States in 1971 before the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States.
Former Soviet Union - The first Sunday of October is designated as Teachers' Day every year.
