Expanded Information

The current 24 Solar Terms are derived from the "Law of Fixing the Qi" (定氣法) established more than 300 years ago. The "ecliptic" (the path of the sun on the celestial sphere during the year) is divided into 24 equal parts, one for each 15°, with the vernal equinox as the starting point of 0 degrees (the ordering of which still puts the beginning of spring in the first place), and arranged according to the number of degrees of the yellow meridian.

That is, depending on the sun from 0 degrees of the ecliptic (at the moment the sun shines vertically on the equator), whenever 15 degrees forward for a festival, running a week and back to the equinoxes, for a return year. Ecliptic circumference of 360 degrees, the sun runs on the ecliptic every 15 degrees for a "node", each "node" of the "degrees" equal, "time The "time" is not equal.
