1 Do you want a door cover?

The first article to share with you is the alloy sliding door.

I believe that many friends will consider alloy sliding doors when choosing larger doors such as kitchen, bathroom and balcony doors.

The traditional practice is to cover the door opening where the alloy sliding door will be installed with a door cover with the same style as other wooden doors, and then install the sliding door on the door cover.

But now more and more friends are willing to simplify, hoping to install the sliding door directly without covering the door cover, which looks simple and generous.

The landlord also saw many beautiful pictures of the house before choosing to install the three-linkage sliding door directly, without a door cover. After installation, the overall effect looks satisfactory.

My door is crooked.

Due to the careless character of the landlord, the door was sealed after installation, only to find that the door was crooked and there was a gap when it was closed, and then the sliding door installation company was asked to adjust it. After adjustment, the door can be completely closed, but it is still crooked, which is very obvious when it is opened. Look down there.

3 Why is it crooked?

After some discussion with family members, it turned out that the bricklayer didn't smooth the doorway, the vertical edge of the doorway was not perpendicular to the ground, and the whole doorway was wide and narrow.

Generally, the master who installs the door cover will make the door cover horizontal and vertical (filled with joinery board or foam agent), and then install the track frame of the sliding door next to the door cover, which can ensure the correct installation of the door and save a series of tedious procedures such as edge sealing.

Without a door cover, when the bathroom or kitchen is tiled, it is generally not necessary to cover all the door openings with tiles, but the installation position and edging space should be reserved for the rail frame of the sliding door (width without tiles = width of aluminum alloy sliding door+1~2cm edging). Under normal circumstances, if there are no special requirements, masons will not take the initiative to smooth the door opening (because by default you will wrap the door), and the master usually only ensures that the tiles are vertical. Because of our inexperience, we didn't ask the masons in advance, and we didn't find the problem until we installed the door. ?

However, the landlord's sliding door installation master is also inexperienced and rarely encounters the practice of not covering the door cover. He did not take measures to solve this problem in the installation stage of the sliding door, but made a mistake and installed the sliding door askew.

How to prevent the door from falling out

1. Repeatedly communicate with the team leader and bricklayer, and put forward the requirement to smooth the doorway to ensure that the doorway is horizontal and vertical.

2. During the installation of the sliding door, remind the sliding door installer to confirm whether the door opening is flat or straight. If it is confirmed that the door opening is still crooked, it can still be remedied in the installation stage of the sliding door. At this time, the sliding door installation master should be reminded to correctly install the track frame of the sliding door, and the gap between the track frame and the door opening should be filled with foaming agent (indoor sliding door installation masters generally do not bring their own foaming agent, so it is better to remind them when contacting the installation or bring their own). When trimming, let the painter cover the foaming agent with putty and smooth it.

5 some small details

Finally, I will show you some details of the landlord's sliding door.

Next, the kitchen tile is on the left side of the door frame, and the joint between the tile and the door frame is filled with caulking agent (a little dirty T _ T _ T); ; 2cm on the right side of the door frame is reserved for wrapping (putty screeding+corner protector+putty scraping+wall coating)? .
