How to Make Irish Soda Bread
Method 1: Preparation before baking
1. Preheat the oven to 190?C (375?F or gas mark 5).
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will make the final cleanup a little easier. If you don't have parchment paper, cooking non-stick spray will work, and then there's no total guarantee that the bread won't stick to the baking sheet.
3. Gather ingredients and cooking tools. This recipe is quite a time saver - mixing dry flour and wet ingredients is a matter of seconds. Weigh the ingredients properly, beat the eggs and have a mixer ready. The butter will easily combine with the other ingredients as long as you take it out of the fridge beforehand. It doesn't need to be melted, just take it out of the fridge and bring it up to room temperature before preparing the other ingredients.
