How to reflect storytelling in landscape design
1 . Build your own large library of cases. Actively use field trips to shoot, the network, magazines, buy e-books and exchange (try not to directly ask for classmates and colleagues), get as many good cases, good project text. Organize in categories. Courtyard, garden, square, park, commercial street, waterfront, ecological restoration, post-industrial, scenic spots, resorts, zoological gardens, charming town. That's basically it. Try to analyze the excellent case studies among them. Try to brief the program in one paragraph, try to find 5 reasons for the success of the case, try to draw a few analytical diagrams for the case in terms of pedestrian flow, function, node or composition. It's in the sense that the solution is so extremely good that you can copy the plan. Personally, I actually like to draw a partial according to the drawing, my teacher told me that it is better to just depict ......
2. Build your own image library of detailing practices, collect the same way as above. Do a good job of tree classification work, such as vertical in the stacked water drop, step surface, step planting, grass slopes, slope, pavilions, clubs, pavilions, cafeterias, seating in the vignettes, signage, structures, lamps and lanterns. Or by way of soft and hard water features to categorize, in short, the classification should be detailed enough, and easy to find their own.
3. Establish their own effect library, and the school is very different from the social program to win or not depends largely on the effect of the beautiful degree. Don't get your hopes up too much on the rendering company, it's very different from architecture. It's hard for a rendering company to fully understand the atmosphere you're imagining, and it's hard to take into account the messy and deadly details. The quality of the rendering depends largely on the aesthetics, the standard of PS and the amount of PS material ...... The latter can only be gathered more from the internet. You may find that the industry leaders have great renderings, because they have people who are specifically responsible for the collection of rendering materials, want to do ugly is not easy ...... In fact, the quality of the rendering also largely reflects the designer's ability to control the program of the whole situation. Good schools abroad, especially in Europe, actually pay quite a lot of attention to the details and quality of the renderings.
4. The practice of collecting construction drawings. I won't hide the fact that I'm a rookie in construction drawings. Of course it is also true that there is a division of labor between the program team and the construction team. But if you have a mind to do it, I believe that the main thing is to collect around, read through and familiarize yourself with the specifications, drawing specifications and practices.
5. Summarize conceptual ideas. Concepts are sold ...... with its own set ...... Generally speaking, we talk about ecology and cultural lineage. Rarely speculate on concepts that are purely artistic ideas (currently including parametric). Ecology needs to understand when you can pull the protection of wetlands, when you can pull the restoration of vegetation, the return of animal habitats, the dissipation of unfavorable elements of the city and the construction of a harmonious society ...... The cultural lineage is concerned with history (memory of the place), the regional characteristics of the culture (architectural style, folklore, local specialties and celebrities ... ...), abstract derivation and symbolization of place characteristics, word play (finding apt inspiration in poems, ancient paintings, and ancient texts), feng shui, and more specific religious legacies ....... Everyone talks about the concepts of culture and ecology, but it's hard to really learn and understand them and turn them into the highlight of your own design to impress others. I'm still trying to figure it out myself. But I think we can categorize and summarize which concepts are suitable for which specific places, and form our own relatively fixed set of cards. After all, many top design organizations do this, even directly on the walls of their studios.
6. Supplemental plant knowledge, I think for a significant portion of my colleagues, including me, plant knowledge is actually quite lacking. But plants are actually more pitiful ...... which is why it was finally singled out to talk about it. Domestic planting scenarios are rarely involved in the pre-program, although the scenarios with a good match is indeed a major highlight (I personally feel that this aspect of Japan is quite strong). The creator of the planting design is completely handed over to others to do is also very normal. But in any case, a group of people to do the program at least one plant "expert".
7. Hand-drawing and software, hand-drawing only more practice, I hand-drawing is also general, which is still in the case of art foundation is quite good. Can not, practicing less. The school does not pay attention to but can not blame the school. Practice hand drawing, but do not have to be too good to the degree of art, the performance is too strong rather than affect the expression and communication. Software, CAD, PS, SU is enough. Enhance the text and analysis of the map surface effect to find ID, AI, enhance the model cool degree of personal recommended contact rhino (surface modeling, of course, there are gods SU eat all surfaces ......), want to make the planning and analysis of Li Jufu learn GIS, parameterization of the individual in the grasshopper from the attempt to get started slowly! ......
The above is the "vocabulary" part of the design, that is, the actual teaching of the university does not pay attention to the part of the ...... (personal opinion)
The following is the design of the The "grammar" aspect of design is a personal gripe ......
1. Garden history, landscape history, and architectural history are the most important classes outside of design ......
2. The composition of a plan. Elements and language aesthetics I really can't speak ...... not at that level. I personally advocate the use of less, repeated, simple geometric and pure composition elements and forms, not excluding curves and circles.
3. The sense of form is not copied or inherent, but can only be accumulated. ...... Please focus on the art and aesthetic qualities of the continuous accumulation.
4.Read all the books ......
5.Killer ......If I were a wetland expert then I would be super awesome right now, I'm not, there are only a few experts in the country who can do wetlands... ...And honestly I envy the big bucks and prestige they earn into their pockets ...... It's important to know a craft that most people don't. Of course, be careful to allocate the cost of learning ......
The last thing to understand is that the axioms are good to know, executing on implementing these takes a fair amount of ambition and patience ......That's why as a competitor I'm not afraid to share these ......
