What does Article 360 refer to?

360 days means 365 days in a year, that is, the number of days in a lunar year. In ancient China, the lunar calendar was a traditional agricultural calendar, which was used to guide agricultural production and daily life.

Lunar calendar is a kind of lunar calendar, which combines the characteristics of solar calendar and monthly calendar. The solar calendar takes the earth's revolution around the sun as a year, which is about 365.24 days. In the lunar calendar, the moon revolves around the earth for one month, which is about 29.53 days. The lunar calendar combines these two cycles and adds a leap month every few years to make up for the time gap with the solar calendar.

A basic feature of the lunar calendar is "fixed leap", that is, a leap month is added at a fixed time every certain number of years. The leap month in the lunar calendar is usually followed by a month in a year to keep consistent with the solar calendar. For example, in 2020, leap April will be added after the first lunar month. The number of days in the lunar year is about 354 or 355 days. Because of the time difference between the solar calendar and the lunar calendar, the year of the lunar calendar is actually about 1 1 day less than that of the solar calendar. In order to keep the synchronization between the lunar calendar and the solar calendar, the ancients adjusted the number of days in the lunar calendar by setting a leap.

In the calculation of the lunar calendar, there is a special calendar called "twenty-four solar terms". Twenty-four solar terms were the guiding principles of ancient agricultural society in China, which were used to guide agricultural activities, climate and living habits. Twenty-four solar terms include twenty-four important solar terms, and each solar term represents about 15 days. A year in the lunar calendar contains 24 solar terms, and each solar term represents a critical period of climate and agricultural production. For example, beginning of spring indicates the beginning of spring, rain indicates the gradual increase of precipitation, vernal equinox indicates equal division of day and night, and so on. Twenty-four solar terms play an important role in China traditional culture, and many folk customs and festivals are related to the twenty-four solar terms.

The concept of 360 festivals represents the number of days in a year and the unique characteristics of the lunar calendar. Understanding the astronomical knowledge and cultural connotation of the lunar calendar is of great significance to our understanding of traditional culture and living habits.
