? A symbol of happiness? The Great Dance Culture of Beijingers

Minority dance is a splendid part of our national culture. Most minority dances originate from people's production activities, religious sacrifices and festivals. The Jing people have a special dance called "the stick dance". In the past, the Jing people only danced this dance on Haji Festival, but now they also dance on other festivals. Now, let's learn about the great dance in Beijing.

Jing nationality is one of the 56 relatively sparsely populated ethnic groups in China. Since16th century, Jing compatriots have moved to Fangcheng County, Guangxi, which is near the South China Sea of China, and have been living on three jade-like islands.

It is said that five or six hundred years ago, Jing fishermen had to go through the Bailong Strait every day to fish. And this only throat that goes out to sea is occupied by the monster centipede essence. In addition, it is suggested that all fishing boats must feed centipede essence to a young child for fishing. One day, after understanding people's worries, a Taoist offered to feed the centipede himself in exchange for the fishermen's right to go fishing. According to the instructions, the fishermen found a big pot and a big pumpkin and put them on the bow to prepare for cooking.

When the fishing boat went to Bailonghai Gorge, centipede essence opened its mouth and scraped around on the ship's side. In a flash, the Taoist poured boiling pumpkin and a pot of boiling water directly into the fine gastrointestinal tract of the centipede. After a day and a night of torture, finally, with the appearance of the morning glow, the sea returned to its former tranquility. Huge centipede remains cut into three parts float on the sea. Moreover, three islands of different sizes were finally formed in the sea. But the Taoist priest who outwitted the centipede essence has already turned into a cloud and drifted away. Since then, the Jing people have named these three islands as "Wutou", "Shanxin" and "Wan Wei".

In order to commemorate this Taoist priest, temples and stone tablets were built at the exit of Bailong Strait, and this Taoist priest was named "Zhenhai King". At the same time, the memorial tablet of "Zhenhai King" is enshrined in the most important position of "hate", and people always accept sacrifices and worship in order to seek his protection.

During the Haji Festival, a traditional song festival of the Jing nationality, which lasted for several days, people sacrificed and entertained various gods and ancestors, followed by the long-awaited dance "Playing Hua Gun" to escort "various gods", especially to bid farewell to "King Zhenhai" and "exorcise ghosts and clear the way".

At the end of the last ceremony of "Ha Festival", "Pig Killing Festival", the smoke of burning eulogies in the Hating Pavilion has not been exhausted, and the heavy and roaring big wooden drums came from the village entrance in the distance, which made all Jing people flock to the village entrance. Surrounded by people, under the towering banyan tree, a gentle and graceful girl, wearing a white gown and a purple hair band, has been dancing with a colorful flower band about 40 cm long in both hands.

Handsome Gu Tao turned Hua Gun up and down by hand, accompanied by finely choreographed steps, performing a dance for the southeast, northwest and northwest, in order to drive away evil spirits from all directions, make way for the ancestors of the gods and bid farewell. With the change of the rhythm of the wooden drum, the dance speed is getting faster and faster, so the surrounding audience moved again.

People looked back at the unfinished dance, and ran to the distance, as if they were still planning the right place to stop. Suddenly, at the end of the quickstep, I saw Gu Tao leaving Hua Gun far behind with both hands.

This move made people desperate to catch Hua Gun who was about to fall from the sky. It turns out that this is the custom of the Jing people: "Whoever can receive Hua Gun who has the ability to exorcise demons from the festival one last dance's" Playing the Flower Stick "will be able to avoid all disasters in this year and get what he wants."
