The origin of Wing Chun Boxing:

Wing Chun Boxing is a traditional martial art in China. There are different opinions about its origin, but it can be traced back to five masters (formerly known as Zhu Hongmei) of Shaolin Temple in South Shaolin, Fujian. Five teachers combined Zen with martial arts, and finally created a practical kung fu suitable for women's drills-Wing Chun Quan. The originator of this kind of boxing is the five great masters of Shaolin. She founded this boxing and spread it through her disciple Yan Yongchun.

It is also said that the birthplace of Wing Chun Boxing is Yan Yongchun in Fujian. She happened to see the snake contending with the crane and was inspired to create Wing Chun Boxing on the basis of her original martial arts. It is also said that Wing Chun Boxing was founded by five teachers, who saw the snake and crane fighting and realized something, not Yan Yongchun.
