What feed does the frog eat?

The main breed of frog breeding is Rana nigromaculata. Because it has the characteristics of feeding live bait, traditional breeding needs to cultivate fly maggots, Tenebrio molitor and earthworms for feeding. Next, let's learn about the frog feed formula and what feed frogs eat. Frog feed frog feed formula What feed does frog eat?

Frog feed formula

1, tadpole artificial compound bait formula

Formula 1: 60% fish meal, 30% rice bran and 10% bran.

Formula 2: 50% mixed fish meal, 25% peanut cake, 2% feed yeast powder, 0/0% wheat bran 13% wheat flour.

Formula 3: blood meal 20%, peanut cake 40%, wheat bran 12%, wheat flour 10%, bean cake 15%, inorganic salt 2% and vitamin additive 1%.

Formula 4: meat powder 20%, Chinese cabbage leaf 10%, bean cake powder 10%, rice bran 50%, snail shell powder 2% and earthworm powder 8%.

Formula 5: 30% silkworm pupa powder, 20% fish powder, 50% barley powder and proper amount of vitamins.

Formula 6: 65% of cyanobacteria or oscillatoria, 35% of yolk and 3/4 tablets of thyroxine.

Formula 7: fish meal 15%, pig liver 25%, rice bran 43%, spinach 10%, bone glue 7%.

2. Formula of artificial mixed bait for young and adult frogs.

Formula 1: 50% fish meal, 30% peanut cake and 20% wheat bran.

Formula 2: 60% ~ 70% fish meal, 20% ~ 25% wheat bran, dry yeast and skim milk powder. A small amount of liver powder, blood powder, minerals and vitamins.

Formula 3: bean cake 40%, rapeseed cake 5%, fish meal 10%, blood meal 5%, wheat bran 30% and alfalfa meal 10%.

Through the introduction of frog feed formula above, we now know what food frogs eat. Frogs love small insects and are good at finding moving small insects. In the process of reproduction, the breeding of frogs plays a key role. We should carry out reasonable feeding management according to the feeding habits of frogs.

Frog feeding management

Frogs are omnivorous animals, among which plant food only accounts for about 7% of the diet; Animal food accounts for about 93% of the diet.

1. Feeding and management of young frogs

Intensive domestication: the density is 0/00 ~ 0/50 per square meter/kloc-0. Young frogs can be kept in cement ponds with smooth inner walls and the height exceeding 1 m. The water in the pond is about 20 cm deep, and there is a bait table on the water surface. There is no land in the pond, forcing the young frogs to feed and live on the table.

Bait domestication: feed live bait 1 ~ 2 days first, add 20% artificial feed to the bait on the third day, and then increase the proportion day by day. After 10, it will increase to 80% "live bait", which mainly includes earthworm, fly maggot, fish and shrimp, insect, scorpion cow and loach. "Dead bait" refers to dried silkworm chrysalis, animal viscera and compound feed. Activate the "dead bait" by static action, and finally completely consume the artificial bait. At the same time, the timing, quantification and positioning of feeding are required. Feeding time: feed 1~2 times a day around noon in spring and autumn and in the evening or morning in summer, and each feeding should be completed at about 1 hour. The food intake of young frogs weighing less than 50 grams should account for 6 ~ 8% of their body weight; For young frogs whose body weight is above 100g, the feeding amount should be 8~ 10% of their body weight. The bait should be fresh, clean and nutritious.

2. Feeding and management of adult frogs

After the young frogs are transferred to the frog pond, they eat a lot and grow fast, which is an important period for the formation of commodity output. In addition to providing sufficient bait, it is necessary to increase the feeding of animal feed when tadpoles turn into frogs, mainly live bait with high protein and high reproduction rate, such as fly maggots, earthworms, red worms and ladybugs. In the case of insufficient live bait, it can be mixed with mixed feed, such as rapeseed cake (powder) 60%, rice bran (or wheat bran) 30%, bean powder 5% and fish powder 5%, and the effect is better. Tadpoles move in the water and can provide concentrated feed after 5 days, including soybean milk, egg yolk, Daphnia, water spinach, tomatoes and plankton in the water. In addition, if earthworms are raised on the mound, as long as some lime water with a concentration of 3~5% is sprinkled on the mound every evening, the earthworms will go to their nests and act as bait for frogs. It is also necessary to feed some compound feed in moderation, and feed separately in time to adjust the feeding density. 1 month later, when the adult frog's weight is100g, the breeding density is 30 per square meter, and it is changed to 10~ 15 per square meter two months later.
