In order to pray for forgiveness and a good harvest in sericulture, a silkworm praying festival is held every April when silkworms are released. Therefore, there is no fixed date for praying for silkworms, and it is only held one day before and after Xiaoman. The Silkworm Farmers' Association went to the "Mother Silkworm Temple" and the "Cicada Temple" to worship fruits, wine and rich dishes, especially to put the "flour cocoon" made of flour on the "straw mountain" made of straw to pray for a good harvest of silkworm cocoons.

It is a spring song and dance festival for the Bai people before the busy farming season, and it is also a prayer ceremony for a bumper harvest.
