Dialectical methods and specific conditioning ideas of spleen deficiency syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine
Spleen is one of the five internal organs in the Tibetan image of traditional Chinese medicine, which is not the same concept as "spleen" in modern anatomy. The diagnosis of spleen deficiency in traditional Chinese medicine is based on a series of symptoms of the decline of spleen physiological function. Therefore, before understanding "spleen deficiency", we must first understand what physiological functions the spleen has.
The spleen in TCM has three physiological functions. The first is "traffic"; The second is "cleaning up"; The third is "unified blood."
Chinese medicine believes that after birth, people rely on the "transport" function of the spleen to absorb nutrients in the diet with the stomach, transform qi and blood, nourish the body and maintain life activities. Traditional Chinese medicine attaches great importance to the "transport" function of spleen, which is regarded as "the source of qi and blood biochemistry" and "the foundation of the day after tomorrow", especially for the weak, or promoting the growth and development of children, or delaying the aging of middle-aged and elderly people. For patients, the function of spleen transport is normal and the prognosis of the disease is good. The transport function of the spleen is normal, characterized by rosy complexion, full energy, full muscles, strong strength and full pulse.
If the "transport" function of the spleen declines, the following two symptoms will appear: First, the digestive function of food declines, which is manifested as no hunger, loss of appetite, reduced food intake, and abdominal distension after eating, especially after fatigue. Decreased digestive function will inevitably reduce nutrient absorption, resulting in sallow complexion, emaciation of muscles, general weakness, pale tongue and weak pulse. Secondly, the function of spleen "transport" water drops, which is characterized by thin and shapeless stool, swelling of lower limbs after fatigue, drooling after falling asleep, hypertrophy of tongue and tooth marks on the edge of tongue.
The second function of the spleen is "clearing". What is "Shengqing"? "Ascension" means upward transportation; "Qing" refers to the nutrients in the body. The function of clearing spleen is mainly reflected in two aspects: one is to continuously deliver nutrients to the head and maintain the normal physiological activities of various tissues and organs in the head. People with normal ascending function are characterized by refreshing, quick thinking, keen ears and clear eyes, and are not easy to get tired. If the cleaning function is reduced and the head is not supported enough, mental fatigue, mental fatigue, decreased work efficiency, inattention, dizziness, drowsiness after meals, or temporary ear congestion, or eye closure after sleep will occur. Second, clearing qi has the function of "lifting" viscera and tissues. The viscera and other tissues and organs of human body can maintain a relatively fixed position in the body, which is related to the function of clearing spleen. When this function declines, there will be symptoms of "clearing qi and sinking", such as visceral prolapse, proctoptosis, uterine prolapse and so on. There are also some special symptoms, such as defecation after meals, diarrhea after drinking cold drinks or eating greasy food, and turbid urine when tired. It shows that "clearing the air and sinking" makes some nutrients lose through defecation.
The third function of the spleen is to "unify blood". "Regulating blood" means that the spleen can make blood flow stably in blood vessels without overflowing veins, which is the "controlling" function of the spleen. When the blood regulating function of the spleen decreases, it is easy to bleed, such as subcutaneous bleeding and bruising, or gastrointestinal bleeding and hematemesis (brown vomit), bloody stool (tarry stool), or women's menorrhagia or endless dripping.
To sum up, when the three functions of the spleen decline and the above symptoms appear, they can all be diagnosed as "spleen deficiency". But everyone's performance will have a different focus.
There are many reasons for spleen deficiency, which are generally caused by eating disorders, chronic illness, physical and mental fatigue, or indolence and lack of exercise. According to investigation and statistics, spleen deficiency is more common in children and middle-aged and elderly people.
Modern research has confirmed that spleen deficiency can lead to decreased immune function, decreased external defense ability, frequent colds and diarrhea, decreased internal defense ability and susceptibility to cancer. Diseases related to spleen deficiency include dyspepsia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenic purpura, anemia, chronic colitis, malnutrition in children, myasthenia gravis, gastrointestinal neurosis and so on.
Mild spleen deficiency can be corrected by diet, and it is advisable to eat spleen-strengthening foods such as red dates, yam, white lentils, coix seed, glutinous rice porridge, millet porridge, beef juice, royal jelly and maltose.
The commonly used prescriptions for spleen deficiency include Sijunzi Decoction, Shen Ling Baizhu Powder, Buzhong Yiqi Decoction and Guipi Pill.
In addition, the usual diet should be regular and quantitative. Don't overeat or stay hungry for a long time. You should get enough sleep and do a certain amount of exercise every day. It is generally advisable not to feel tired the next day.
Spleen deficiency type III
Spleen deficiency type:
1, spleen deficiency
Most of them are due to improper diet, excessive fatigue, long-term anxiety, damage to the spleen, or lack of resistance and weakness.
2. Spleen yang deficiency
Most of them are caused by the further development of spleen-qi deficiency syndrome, and they can also be caused by eating disorders, overeating and getting cold, or too many cold drugs, damaging spleen yang, or deficiency of kidney yang, resulting in life failure and fire failure.
3. Gas sinking
Qi also refers to temper. When the temper rises, Shui Gu's essence will be lost to the lungs to nourish other internal organs. If the temper sinks, there will be symptoms such as chronic diarrhea, rectocele and uterine prolapse.
4, spleen does not control blood
If you are weak in temper and cannot replenish blood, blood will not come with menstruation.
Symptoms of spleen deficiency:
1, the tongue coating has changed.
The change of tongue is the external manifestation of spleen. The surface of a healthy tongue should be red and look moist. There is a layer of tongue coating on the surface of the tongue, which is very light and clean.
If there are obvious tooth marks on the edge of the tongue, it means that there is something wrong with the body function. If the tongue coating is white and thick, it looks smooth and moist, indicating that there is cold in the body. If the tongue coating is rough or thick and yellow and greasy, it means that there is damp heat in the body. If the tongue is red without coating, it means that the body is too hot to hurt the yin.
2. Loss of appetite
Because in the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, moisture enters the body and is most likely to hurt the spleen. The main function of the spleen is to digest and absorb various foods and liquids ingested in the body, and transform these substances into nutrients that can be used by the human body to provide new energy for human metabolism.
In a hot and humid environment, most people's appetite and digestive function will decline. However, some people are very hungry, but they feel full after eating, which is also a manifestation of strong stomach and weak spleen.
3. Getting up early is uncomfortable
Get up in the morning, if you feel chest tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness and brain swelling, it means that our spleen and stomach function is weak. Chinese medicine believes that when spleen deficiency occurs, lung qi will fail first. In other words, the functions of the spleen and the lung are mutually influenced. When spleen deficiency reaches a certain level, it is easy to have lung deficiency, such as shortness of breath, and shortness of breath when moving.
4. High humidity
People with heavy moisture may also gain significant weight in a short time, and in severe cases, problems such as edema of lower limbs may occur.
90% of obese people are physically weak. Physical weakness is caused by the weakening of spleen and stomach function. Physical weakness will slow down metabolism and weaken the vitality of the body, thus reducing the ability to consume nutrition. If nutrients cannot be consumed, they will accumulate in the body and form obesity.
5. Abnormal defecation in the toilet
If the stool is soft and sticky, it is a symptom of spleen dampness, indicating abnormal digestive function.
