How to charge an electric car

With the growing prominence of the energy problem and the increasingly severe environmental situation, the development of electric vehicles has ushered in a new opportunity. For electric vehicles, battery charging equipment is one of the essential equipment. Its role is to say that the electrical energy in the grid is converted into electrical energy in the battery. For electric vehicles, there are many kinds of charging devices. However, they can be broadly categorized into two types, namely on-board charging equipment and off-board charging equipment. From this, we can categorize the charging methods of electric vehicles into the following five types. The first is the traditional charging mode. This charging mode is the traditional constant voltage and constant current charging mode to charge electric vehicles. This charging current is very limited, only about 15A. Usually, the charging time is long. The corresponding charger has low working and installation costs and is simple and easy to operate. This long-point method is widely used for home charging equipment and small charging stations for electric vehicles. Charging is simply done by plugging the vehicle charging head into a parking lot or home power outlet, so the charging process is usually done by the customer themselves. The second charging method is fast charging. This charging method uses a high charging current of 150 to 400 A to charge the battery in a short period of time. Compared with conventional charging, the cost is higher. So fast charging is also called rapid charging or emergency charging. Its purpose is to ensure that the electric vehicle is fully charged in a short period of time. This time is usually about the same as the time it takes to refuel a gasoline truck. It is usually used in large charging stations. The third way is wireless charging. This type of charging works like using a cell phone in a car by converting electrical energy into a special laser or microwave beam that is received by a special antenna mounted on the roof of the car. The fourth type of charging is alternative battery charging technology. This technology focuses on replacing a depleted and lit battery with a fully charged battery that is returned to a service station when the battery is depleted. The electric car only needs to run and rent batteries. The fifth charging method is the mobile charging method. This is the most ideal charging method. The main way is to charge the car while it is cruising. There is no need for the customer to go to a charging station and spend time charging. This type of charging requires a MAC system. And it is buried under a section of road in advance, which is the charging area. Both contact and inductive MAC can be implemented. This kind of charging method costs more and is still in the theoretical research stage. But the prospect is very broad.
