How to understand idealism dualism
The concept of dualism was put forward very late, which advocates two independent origins of the world: consciousness and matter, and emphasizes the equal and just existence of matter and spirit. It is believed that the origin of the world is two entities: consciousness and matter. Dualism essentially insists that consciousness exists independently of matter. It is the opposite of monism.
A typical dualist in the history of philosophy is R Descartes, a French philosopher in the17th century. He believes that consciousness and matter are two absolutely different entities, the essence of consciousness lies in thought and the essence of matter lies in vastness; Matter can't think and consciousness can't be vast.
Material and spirit are one of the basic problems to be studied by philosophy. Understanding the meaning and relationship of these two concepts is of great significance in theoretical research and social practice. However, with the development of human understanding, some untrue words in traditional philosophy must be completely corrected or eliminated.
