There are three major festivals in Japan?

Kyoto Arrival Festival (July 1-29): This festival has been held for thousands of years, and the people of Kyoto are proud of its long history and the grandeur of the festival. From the 11th century to the 12th century, the festival was already on a large scale, and the colorful carts used for the festival, as well as the music and dances, had a great influence on later festivals all over Japan.On July 1, as soon as the streets of Kyoto are filled with the melodious tunes of flutes, drums, shamisen, and other musical instruments, the people are excited to participate in the festival. From dusk onwards, 300 geishas dressed as people from various eras and social classes perform a costume parade in which they pose in a variety of styles and colors. The festival ends on the 29th with the Shinto ritual, a month-long festival in which children dressed as the emperor dance while a band plays music and distributes rice dumplings to people around the shrine.

Tokyo Sanno Matsuri (June 13 or 14 every other year): In Nagata-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, there is a magnificent shrine, Hie Shrine. The Sanno Matsuri, one of the three most famous festivals in Japan, is a grand festival held at this shrine. The Sanno Matsuri of Hie Shrine is famous in Japan as the "World Festival". On June 13th or 14th, a long line of magnificent yamagata and mikoshi (portable shrines) fills the streets, and crowds of people carrying them parade in costume to the sound of music, making the festival a crowded event.

Osaka Tenjin Festival (July 24th and 25th): In the evening of July 24th and 25th, Dojima River, a beautiful river at the southern end of Kita-ku in Osaka City, is lined up with hundreds of colorful boats and pleasure boats, with big drums at the head of the boats, followed by "sub boats" carrying bands and "bon boats" with pine oil torches. The first boat carries a big drum, followed closely by a "sub boat" with a band, a "bon boat" with pine oil torches, and a variety of colorful boats. This is Osaka's annual "Tenmansai" festival, in which the sound of drums, loud music and people's songs are carried far away by the night wind on the water. This is the annual "Tenman Matsuri" in Osaka, which is also called "Tenjin Matsuri" and is one of the three major festivals in Japan, and was originally held at Tenmangu Shrine in Osaka. Most of the students who take the university entrance exams visit Tenmangu Shrine to pray for divine blessings.
