What is the difference between a retailer and an agent?
It should be noted that traditional retailing is:
(1) selling goods directly to consumers, excluding all kinds of wholesalers and importers and exporters;
(2) selling means of subsistence rather than means of production;
(3) selling goods for a price rather than unpaid services;
(4) belonging to the sphere of circulation rather than to the sphere of production
2: Agents are a very different concept from distributors. Agent is to take care of business on behalf of the enterprise, not to buy out the enterprise's products, but the manufacturer to give the amount of a business behavior, the ownership of goods belongs to the manufacturer, not the business. They are also not their own use of the product, but on behalf of the enterprise to sell out. So "agent", generally refers to the enterprise, earning the enterprise agent commission of the business unit.
