"Both parents are alive, and brothers have no cause," means that both parents and brothers are alive without calamity, and that there is no resentment between brothers. This is the first happiness of a gentleman, which is the happiness of heavenly families. Chinese culture, especially Confucian culture, attaches special importance to the joy of human relationships.
"To look up and not be ashamed of heaven, to look down and not be subterfuge," means to look up to heaven and not feel guilty, and to look down and not feel ashamed of people, which is the second joy, that is, the joy of becoming virtuous.
"To get the world's talents and educate them" means to get the world's excellent talents and educate them, which is the third joy of a gentleman, the joy of teacher and friend.
