Suzhou composition

Suzhou is known as the Oriental Water City and enjoys the reputation of "Venice of the East". As a native of Suzhou, I have a deeper understanding of the charm that water gives to this city.

Let's talk about the ancient city of Suzhou, which is located in the center of Suzhou, surrounded by moats and rivers running through the city. When we walk in the street, we will find that the river has been surrounding the whole city. Suzhou has a reputation as a water town in the south of the Yangtze River since ancient times, which is probably the reason for its name.

Besides, the scenic spots and historical sites in Suzhou are all in the urban area, and Suzhou gardens rank first in the world. There are two major gardens in Suzhou-Humble Administrator's Garden and Lingering Garden. The water in the garden is running water. You can appreciate the beauty of underwater mirrors when you walk in the four directions of the garden.

There is also a famous historical street in Suzhou-Qilishantang Street and Heping River Road, which is rich in historical and cultural atmosphere. The bustling tourists order some Soviet-style food and sit by the window, which has a unique flavor. The old Suzhou, which lives here, is enjoying a comfortable life of living by the pillow river.

Finally, Suzhou City is surrounded by lakes, with Jinji Lake in the east, newly-built East Taihu Lake in the south, foggy Taihu Lake in the west and endless Yangcheng Lake in the north. On holidays, people come here for a holiday, enjoying the beautiful lakes and mountains, breathing fresh air and relaxing.

There is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below. I love Suzhou and like this water city. I feel proud and happy living in this city.
